-----"You mean werethieves," Kazel replies as she notches a silver arrow. "Although I'm a full thief still, having dived through a window to keep it that way. I'd much rather not be hunted down in the night and revert into a naked corpse in front of the forces of law and order. That'd be so embarrassing."
-----"I s'pose we should head back now and get the wagon ready to go after the battle. Most people don't like being stabbed a few times." Seth follows as they head back up and grumbles, "Well, I was really aiming for the beast, they just got in the way."
-----As the three rogues make it back atop the flooring of the tavern, they first see many soldiers huddled around the naked form of a man lying face down on the floor. Nearby stand the two guards from Oakwood sporting cuts though most of them appear to be minor.
-----Three soldiers stand on either side of the window that Kazel smashed through, gazing alertly at the illuminated yard beyond where the angry beastly sounds come from.
-----Xavia is on the other side of the room where she and Krord help Brandel to his feet. The young mercenary's arm is hung in a makeshift sling. Runik offers Brandel's sword that the young man must have dropped early into Brandel's good hand.
-----The two priests stand close to the Lady Paladin as Marast stalks in from the stables.
-----Suddenly the men near the window jump as if startled by something. A smashing is heard amid angry roars as the light outside suddenly dims.
-----"The torches!" one of the guards cry, "They're destroying the torches we placed outside!"
-----The Dread Pirate sums up his feelings for the current situation in one eloquent word, "Shit." He then yells at the guards, "Don't just stand there, ye daft buggers. Shoot arrows out there at them. Throw flasks of oil. Do somethin to keep 'em from bein totally in charge of the situation. Oh hell, I'll do it meself."
-----The Dread Pirate yanks his trusty cutlass out of its sheath and races for the door, pausing to take a good look at the number of werebeasts before he rushes too foolhardily into the night.
-----Taking Dread's advice, Seth looks for his crossbow and bolts, "Does anyone have some oil? If so, start throwing it outside." He looks for some rags to wrap around his crossbow bolts.
-----Kazel runs outside after the Dread Pirate, shooting all her silver arrows before trying to close in with the beasts.
-----Seeing a trio of the beasts, the Dread Pirate runs out of the door. A second torch is savagely thrown down and extinguished as the three werewolves snarl at the halfling pirate. The monsters stand a few yards from Gimplefwick and turn to fully face him.
-----"Pirate!" Xavia's voice is heard calling from within the tavern.
-----"Are you mad?" one of the Oakwood guards says to Seth, "do you wish to set the entire village aflame?" By this time, Seth has set about wrapping bits of cloth around his bolt tips.
-----"I be t'inkin' what ye be needin' we gots in the waggin'!" Runik yells to Seth. A surprised groan escapes the dwarf as he runs into Marast while the elf was watching the action across the room. Nearly knocking each other over, the pair gains their balance while the dwarf begins chastising Marast.
-----"Ya bloody, pointy-earred varmit!" Runik yells, "Git the bloody hell outta me way n' drip them arrow o' yers in t'at pot o' silver!" The dwarf then runs into the stable.
-----Marast grumbles but quickly follows Runik's suggestion.
-----Kazel draws her bow as she decides which target to fire on. A huge wolf standing nearly seven feet stalks just beyond the dwindling circle of torchlight while two shorter creatures (which still tower over the rogues) rear up close to two more of the fire sources.
-----The Dread Pirate responds with a hastily shouted, "The hell with the village. They can always build more buildings. They can't rebuild if these werewolves are still here."
-----Not impressed at this point in his life by creatures that tower over him, after a lifetime of everything towering over him, the Dread Pirate raises his free hand at the larger werewolf and calmly extends his middle finger at it. He then waggles his cutlass back and forth, obviously daring the massive creature to charge him. In the meantime, he yells at the paladin, "What do ye want? I'm kinda busy at the moment. Maybe we can chat later."
