-----Looking at both the boat and the cave in turn, Sol nods and agrees with Raven and Sarah, "Alright then. Let's see how far we can get by foot. We might have to come back to th' boat if we can't access certain parts o' th' cave, though. I don't think I particularly want t'swim in that stuff."
-----Sol returns to where he left his longsword, pulls it out of the ground and begins to move into the cave.
-----As the young warrior leads everyone into the cave, the reddish mist swirls about them. The passage they follow seems to narrow to about five feet across. As they continue on, the mist seems to get thicker and luckily no one feels any adverse effects from it. Soon everyone places one hand on one of the rocky walls to help guide their way. When it seems that they are about to lose sight of each other, everyone slows their progress. Even though the daylight is still getting brighter from the dying Darkness outside, here in the cave the red glowing mist is cutting off the outside light.
-----Suddenly the mist just ahead of Sol appears to thin somewhat. In front of them shadows hint at a small cave area lit with torches. When Sol is about to see the details of this place more clearing, Raven suddenly puts his hand on the young warriors shoulder.
-----Turning slightly, Sol sees the Hunter is focused on something ahead. It appears that Raven is not only using his sight, but somehow Raven is picking up something with nearly all of his senses. The rangers lips pull back exposing his teeth in an intense grimace.
-----With a strong exhale of breath, Raven nods and, with a metallic sheening sound, draws forth both of his swords. Looking back at the small cave, everyone sees at least five orcish warriors advancing toward them. The orcs have spotted them and have their massive swords drawn.
-----Without further ado, Sol returns Raven's nod and launches himself in the direction of the orcs. Sprinting straight towards the center of the group, the lanky Gorian brings his sword to bear on the lead humanoid, whispering as he does so.
-----Sol and Raven charge out of the mists like two avenging spirits from the sky. As everyone follows, they can see that the orcs are a bit more heavily armored than those they encountered before. Whereas the chaotic bands found in the forest wore little more than pieced together leather, these warriors wear chainmail and carry black shields.
-----This seems to have little affect on the two rushing heroes. The look in Ravens eyes is indescribable as if the orcs fate were totally decided by his force of will alone. Before the orcs can take their first strikes at him, Ravens twin weapons have already torn into both of them. On Ravens final slash, he misses but it means little as the two orcish bodies have already begun to fall to the cavern floor dead.
-----An uncanny energy takes hold of Sol as he hefts his mighty Lathanian blade. The weapon swings twice at his advancing foe. Like a fierce bolt of lightning, the weapon kills the orc before the humanoid can fight in kind.
-----As the pair of fighters turns ready for more, over a half dozen orcs are there to face the adventurers.
-----Raven snarls something at the orcs and then rushes them.
-----"I agree with him." Sol adds with a lopsided grin as he joins Raven's charge.
-----Sarah hesitates for a few seconds before releasing a burst of colors from her fingers. She has decided that she can spare a few spells from the fight against Devlin, but that she should keep most of them. "C'mon...kill them..." she mutters under her breath.
-----The two orcs that Raven rushes actually back up and appear to brace themselves. Their small red eyes almost radiate a sense of fear. The Hunter of Hearthorn slashes in with both blades. His left sword rings off one cowardly orcish shield while the other tears into the other humanoids belly. As his companion falls, the other orc weakly swings at the aggressive ranger but misses.
-----Sols blade smacks against a third orcs shield but the young warrior quickly recovers to parry the incoming thrust. The orc he faces grunts in frustration.
-----At the same time, Sarah unleashes her color spray spell hitting another piggish soldier full in the face. It instantly drops both its sword and shield, falling unconscious before her feet.
-----"Well done!" chimes in Romney as he and Abram stand on each side of her. The two guards constantly watch the others in case an orc gets through to their position.
-----A mighty swoop is heard as Rinda swings her club at an orcish head. The foul thing ducks her weapon and stabs in with its retched blade. It slices into her abdomen drawing some blood. Rinda recoils with a pained sigh ready to attack again.
-----Shema steps up heading off an advancing orc. With a fierce grimace registering on her face, she forcefully swings in, cutting deeply into the orcs neck. When it falls, she quickly pushes her heel into the back of its neck snapping it.
