Hogwarts Challenged was started late in the month of June, 2004 by 
golden_moment and quickly grew out it's
original sorting community. As it progressed more and more communities were added to accomodate the populace. We're all very proud of it.
How do I post in the communities?
First, you need to join them! In the case of 
hogwarts_ch (sorting), you must first follow the procedure to be accepted. Check the
the community info here for the how-to about applying for application and an updated link to the referral post. After you've joined
the community you wish to post in, you may add your entry two ways.
1.) Go to that community's info. You will see an image bar at the top with options like "friend this journal" "memories" and "to do list". There is a pencil directly right
of the friending option, which when hovered over says "Post To ".
2.) The next option is to go the main Livejournal page, and proceed as if you were simply adding an entry to your own personal journal. At the bottom, click the link reading "You're looking at the simple page. For more options, click here." which leads
to the advanced version of your post. Under Optional Settins, there is a drop down box which has a list of the communities you belong to. Select the one you wish to post to, type your message, and viola! You're done.

Being Accepted To Your Common Rooms
After you have been sorted and stamped by your Prefect or the
Headmistress or Deputy Headmistress, you will then be invited into
your common rooms. You can check to see your invites on the
Invite Management page. If after one or two days you
do not see an invite listed there, post to this thread asking to be invited. Prefects get busy, and sometimes
people fall through the cracks!
