There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become
distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in T�gh�t and believes
in All�h, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never
break. And All�h is All-Hearer, All-Knower. Quraan (Chapter 2 Verse 256)
What is Islam?
The Arabic word �Islam� stands for �Submission� or �Peace�.
In a religious context, it implies the peace that reaches out to
one when one completely submits oneself to the will of Almighty God.
This is achieved only when the individual acts in accordance with the
direction of his Creator in all spheres of life.
Terrorism - Is Islam really a Religion of peace?
My dear brother, terrorism has no religion.
The terrorists have no concern with the religious ascriptions
of their targets. Their sole interest is to spread terror.
Their actions are not representative of their creed, but of their
intolerance toward all that is against their personal liking
(which they may have derived from an incorrect understanding of their religion).
It is, thus, that you find the same terrorist groups operating not only
in non-Muslim lands, but also against their own Muslim lands.
