I know it�s probably partly because it�s so publicly new.
The media and time have helped cement the belief
That there�s only one way to live, one way to be
I thought it was universal that
�Do unto others as you would have them do unto you�
Was understood and at least considered.
Apparently I was mistaken.
Yeah, it is sometimes tolerated
And even accepted.
At first I thought that I shouldn�t b*tch about this.
Because what�s beautiful about individuality is just that.
Being an individual,
With an opinion.
And there are people out there with opposing opinions (obviously)
That�s fine and all,
But to live in a world where that is a problem won�t work for me.
I refuse

I refuse to live in that world.
So I�ll help it change.
My goal isn�t for acceptance, necessarily,
But at least tolerance
