Loss of Breath in the Dark
I Walk behind and close the door,
As I have so many times before.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Nothing out of place that my eyes could see.
Until I turned around.
A different feeling in the room,
An unnatural essence is in the air.
Pictures fade,
Shadows grow larger,
Furniture flying,
The world is closing in on me.
Devilish monsters that haunt my dreams
Now plague my life.
Taunting me,
Haunting me,
Ever louder than before.
Voices in my head
Tear at my mind,
And at my soul.
Making me die;
To be nevermore.
The harmless is now the most deadly.
Sins of the past come now to punish.
Monsters Ive faced
Are back,
And wont stop till Im gone.
Trying to scream,
But no sound comes.
Breathing slows.
Shadows swarm me.
Darkness of which Ive never imagined
Takes my breath and leaves me nothing,
And I fall to the floor,
To be lifted nevermore. |
