Heavens Divide
Life is better when its lived,
In pain and loss cannot forgive.
Till night grows old and turns to day,
Sun waits to rise in skies of gray.
In dusk and cold upon the sand,
Sifting through my frozen hand,
Flowing beauty made of grain.
My heart is lost to all mundane.
Standing along a frozen drift,
I feel the sea flowing swift.
Across the horizon I see the rift,
A cold and broken and longing gift.
My life has been tied to my deepest desires,
And to my dreams I hope to aspire.
But from myself I cannot hide,
Standing in awe at havocs divide. |
