Forbidden
A word too much,
Or a kiss too long,
This secret love was deemed as wrong.
Hidden meetings,
Loving greetings,
Fears fleeting.
Never knowing,
Of danger flowing,
With no intent of slowing.
Forbidden lovers,
Hunted down again and again,
To keep the order of what has been.
With sun raised high,
Moon circled round,
No words sighed
Could be the same as how their love abounds.
From different ways,
They found each other
And throughout the haze,
They held their love above all else,
And were open to the painful craze.
These star-crossed lovers,
In the mid of war,
Done in by the kin they bore,
On earth their love is no more,
But finally they are where they both can soar. |
