Kai is now 13 months old!  His growth has slowed down, although he is still in the 95th percentile for weight and 75th for heighth.  He is walking along things and standing up to reach doorknobs.  He LOVES to walk with someone's fingers to hold onto.  It's funny to pick him up and sit him in your lap, and most times he immediately finds your fingers and grabs hold, sliding off your lap to go for a walk!  He's not yet walking on his own, but we hope the coming holidays spent with cousins will help him take that "step"!  

He eats anything and still has a very large appetite.  (This is a picture at Granny Rhonda and Grandpa Ralph's house for Thanksgiving break, eating 3 scrambled eggs in a matter of minutes!)  He eats entire fruits and vegetables for meals; he loves avocados especially.  He loves to play with other kids and has the most infectious giggle--he is so happy to have playmates!  He is going back and forth between two naps and one nap a day, but we're trying to keep two naps as long as we can. 

Kai picks up on things quickly and loves to investigate anything electronic, especially  cell phones and computers, and not the ones that are turned off--they need to respond to him!  Going to our local library's children's section and playing with the toys and other kids as well as reading books, is one of Kai's favorite things.  He loves music and will "conduct" by waving both hands when music is played...especially in church.  He loves attention from everyone but is also in a shy phase and doesn't want to get to anyone he doesn't know too closely.  He loves to go to Mom and Dad--Mom is currently the favorite one, so I'm trying to enjoy every minute!
