Kai is now almost four months old (as of next week!).  He is growing so fast as always.  At 17 1/2 lbs as of the last check-up but rounder than ever, he's in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month sized clothes.  We are learning, however, that clothing sizes are somewhat relative and really just depend on the brand you buy. 

He is a joy.  He has recently started giggling and laughing -- we'll try to get a good recording!  He also shows a great interest now in grabbing and playing with things. 

We are just now beginning to see a sleeping schedule appear, which is incredibly hopeful and energizing in looking forward.  He has somehow learned to fight not going to sleep, using various techniques: screaming bloody murder, bearing down like he has a messy diaper, smiling and giggling, wanting to cuddle by pulling your hand up to the side of his face and holding it there.  The latter two melt my heart, but I have to be strong. :)  We're communicating together and he's now more willing to sleep when he's tired. 

He is trying to say words everyday.  The latest is "milk."  He knows the sign for it, and he says "mmmm..ghhhhkkk (gargling)".  When I repeat the word he said, he gives a huge, wide-mouthed smile!  Oh, I love it!
