We were excited to visit Zack's family in Wyoming for Christmas this year. We flew to Denver and drove four hours to Casper. It was very cold, but wonderful to have a white Christmas. Kai wore a snowsuit for the first time (see attached photo!). He looked just like the little brother in "The Christmas Story." It was hilarious. He did have his first ear infection there, but with medication it went away within a week.
Kai is such an easygoing boy. He is constantly smiling and his numerous chins are just accentuated. The only thing we are working out right now is figuring out how to get him to go down for naps. He fights pointedly NOT to go down, even though he is struggling to keep his eyes open. He loves being awake and is stimulated by practically everything around him. He sleeps well at night, though, so we're thankful for that. He will be three months old next week--it's hard to believe time has gone by that fast! He has already grown out of some of his 3-6 months clothes, so we may be switching to the next size up in a week or two. His latest nickname is "Pumpkin" for his lovely, round rolls of cute baby flub.
