Zack was able to take quite an extended paternity leave, and postpone taking it until after our wonderful mothers left. We decided to take a slow road trip to northern California. We were in Sacramento for several days, seeing Aunt Lynee and Uncle Charlie and their family for Thanksgiving, as well as Zack's close friend Wade and his family. We then drove down to the Monterey Bay area and saw Aunt Katrina and Uncle Ned and their kids, then took pictures of the bay and the coast. Zack and I agree that it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. We would absolutely LOVE to live there if we could afford to! We looked into a house in Carmel-by-the-Sea at only $5.9 million . . . so we'll save up! :) We took the 1 freeway on the coastline until we headed east through LA. We then traveled back home slowly by way of Corona and saw Uncle Bruce and Aunt Carolyn too briefly. Kai did an amazing job as we stopped often, and he was an angel.
Here is one of the outstanding views we saw (Monterey) courtesy of Zack.
