Personnel Committee

Charge:

Review and update personnel policy and procedures, job descriptions, staff compensation and the affirmative action plan to ensure that the agency attracts and retains a diverse, high quality and committed workforce.

Objectives:

1. Review yearly the personnel policies and recommend any necessary revisions to the Board of Directors for approval.

2. Keep abreast of personnel trends, laws, and procedures; ensure that the YWCA is kept advised.

3. Provide consultation with the Executive Director in personnel matters or interpretation of policy and procedures.

4. Review yearly the affirmative action policy and plan and assist in achieving its goals.

5. Review the compensation package yearly and seek to achieve/maintain competitive salaries.

6. Conduct the Executive Director's performance evaluation yearly, prepare a written report and recommend any salary adjustments.

7. Assist in new program staff interviewing process, as appropriate.
