Personnel Committee

Charge:

Review and update personnel policy and procedures, job descriptions, staff compensation and the affirmative action plan to ensure that the agency attracts and retains a diverse, high quality and committed workforce.

Objectives:

1. Review annually the personnel policies and recommend any necessary revisions to the Board of Directors for approval.

2. Review the compensation and benefits package yearly and seek to achieve/maintain competitive salaries.

3. Advise and serve as technical resources as requested by the Executive Director in personnel matters such as interviews; trends, laws, policies and procedures, and exit interviews.

4. Review annually the affirmative action policy and plan and assist in achieving its goals.

5. Complete exit interviews as needed.

6. Actively pursue diversity on Board and Committees.

7. Find ways to link Board expertise and staff needs.

8. Maintain a focus on implementing the mission.
