Job Description
Building Committee
Position: The Building Committee shall be responsible for the overall maintenance of the building in recognition of its importance as the primary financial asset of the YWCA.
Composition: The Committee shall be appointed by the President in consultation with the Executive Director. Non-Board members are welcome.
Responsibilities of Committee:
1. Works with the Executive Director on all building related issues including leases with tenants and long range plans for maintenance and maximum usage of the building.
2. Develops plans for the long range maintenance of the building. Sets priorities for building and grounds maintenance and works with assigned staff and/or volunteers to execute them.
3. Prepares list of building-related expenses for improvements and repairs to Finance Committee for the following year.
4. Works with Art Committee to set policies concerning installation of art work.
5. Inventories contents of entire building, in even numbered years.
Responsibilities of Staff:
1. Assigned staff works with the Building Committee as needed.
Frequency of Meetings: As needed.
