Unreal '96 Remake a.k.a. Crypt Pyramid

for Unreal 227i

Created by Yrex in 2017.
___________________________________________

To start the game, select 'Crypt Pyramid' from the New Game menu. Or double click on '2017cp-batset.unr'. Or type "open 2017cp-batset" into the console.

Remember that:
- There's no multiplayer support.
- There's no support for different difficulty levels. Just play it on Medium.
- If you run out of ammo in AutoMag, you can still use it to beat the monsters with it. However you have to use the number keys (not the mouse wheel) to switch to it.
- You can refill your health and ammo every time you visit certain areas in Batset.

For best experience:
- Use a 4:3 CRT monitor and play in 640x480. To achieve the maximal oldskoolness, connect your computer through the S-Video out to your 2002 TV.
- Use a low brightness setting such as 3/8 or 4/8.
- Don't use 16 bits because there's already a filter that gives a very similar effect.
- Don't use software rendering because it doesn't render big meshes correctly.
- Enable decals to make some projector effects work.
- Disable the interpolation in your audio driver.

Thanks to:
- John W. Anderson for creating the original levels - the only ones we managed to recover.
- Unknown person (also John?) for making the original volkano.unr, seen on screenshots.
- AlCapowned for remapping the beta skins to the final meshes' UVs.
- Leo(T.C.K.) for initial conversion of John's levels.
- Leo, Gizzy, and MasterUnreal for the UPSXQuadshot this one was based on.
- CodeX for some little fragments of code here and there.
- Whoever I forgot to mention.

You can (and are encouraged to) use parts of this for whatever you want.
