What Is A Home? ...not a place for reasoning?

The following is a very touching letter sent to me by a friend. It was written by the father of a girl, named Ping Er, who was about to be married. In the letter, Ping Er's father gave her a very precious gift, i.e. his advice on what a home is from his personal experiences.

The last paragraph is even more meaningful as it tells of what love is all about. This letter was read on Ping ER's wedding day. It was the most solemn wedding ever as all the guests were so moved by the love and words of Ping Er's parents, who could not attend her wedding because it was held out of their hometown.

1 Corinthians 13

4Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.

5It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.

6Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.

7It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.

8
Love never fails.

13
And now these three remain:
faith,
hope and
love.
But the greatest of these is love.

Psalms127

1Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;

2Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain."
