Bode and Paka 4

Bode shifts a bit, half opening his eyes. He glances down to the sleeping figure in his arms blankly, confused as to why he was there, in the first place. "..mmm..?"
Paka lies still in Bode's arms, his breathing easy and sleepy. His black tresses tumble messily about his face, hiding him.
Bode shakes his head slightly, watching Paka intently. Waking up with someone with him was just as strange as being a boy... Absently he takes a hand, pushing back some of the other boy's hair.
Paka makes a quiet noise, digging his fingernails into Bode...though they aren't all that sharp.
Bode blinks, ceasing his movement. So, he merely lies there, staring at Paka.
Paka after quite a few moments, nuzzles closer to Bode, half-opens his eyes, and yawns quietly.
Bode blushes faintly as Paka moves closer to him, and he swallows, "...you awake...?"
Paka wipes his cheek with the back of his hand, his fingers held in an awkward manner as if they were bound together for a moment. "...yeah..." He smiles, setting his head on Bode's arm, "You're warm."
Bode blinks, shifting a bit and feeling awkward. "...uh..thanks....?"
Paka smiles, "It's true."
Bode pokes his head, "I'm not arguing..it's just a weird thing to say to somebody...at least you're not scared any more.."
Paka turns, stretching and yawning again. "I wasn't scared of anything."
Bode coughs a bit, "..oh? And that's why you were shaking and hiding, and clinging to me pathetically?"
Paka grunts, suddenly pushing away from Bode and sitting up. He smoothes down his hair, "I did no such thing."
Bode stares at him for a moment, then begins laughing, "You think denying it will change anything?"
Paka glares at him, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! I was just cold, that's all! The whole thing was just an act anyway...hmph...just did it so you'd let me get close...Like I'd be scared of thunder...."
Bode, finally calmed from his little burst of laughter, smiles a bit and sits up, smoothing down his own hair, "Isn't it more embarrassing to be scared of thunder than to be cold?"
Paka slips up out of the bed, brushing down his hair, "Lemme alone you jerk..."
Bode nods a bit, "Alright, alright..don't get defensive.."
Paka scowls, "Defensive...hmph. Look who's talking Miss Manly-Chick"
Bode stiffens slightly, sinking into the bed and remaining silent, turning his gaze elsewhere.
Paka departs into the bathroom, taking on the quest of taming his hair.
Bode remains in the bed for a moment longer before hopping from it, trekking over to the pile of bags and pulling out some clothes. "...don't come out!" He quietly begins to change.
Paka comes out of the room, his hair slightly smoothed. He scowls, "Cool your jets."
Bode pulls a shirt on, scowling slightly as well, "...you don't understand..."
Paka scowls, "Oh? Don't I?"
"No, you don't. So stop poking fun at me."
Paka moves toward the door, "Yeah? Well you sure as hell don't understand me. so what's your point?"
Bode hms quietly, "...cut me some slack, at least. Sorry I even mentioned the thunder thing... I couldn't care less if you were scared or not. And I won't bring it up again."
Paka makes a face, slipping into his shoes before leaving the room. "I'm outta here, jerk."
Bode clenches his fists for a moment, "Fine! Just go away!!" He tightens his jaw, beginning to pick up the many bags, muttering to himself.
Paka shuts the door firmly behind him, disappearing down the hall to call the orphanage from the phone in the lobby.
Bode manages to get all the bags, as well as to fumble the door open. He moves down the hallway to the lobby, where he plans on paying and walking to the next bus stop.
