Bode and Paka 3
Bode stands off to the side of most of the passing students, still looking rather peculiar in is strange fitting clothes. He looks about for Paka anxiously.
Paka moves out of the school, his shorts making him look rather...peculiar.
Bode still looks about, after a few moments of searching finding Paka amongst the other students. He makes his way over to the other boy.
Paka scowls at Bode, pulling down his shorts a little, "Damn shorts..."
Bode smiles faintly, "...sorry..."
Paka scowls, "You should be."
Bode mms quietly, pushing back some of his hair, "Don't be mad.."
"Too late for that."
Bode mms quietly, "...ok..so..what do we do?"
Paka makes a face, "You give me back my pants..."
Bode blinks, "...but..."
Paka scowls, "And then we go shop for you."
Bode nods a bit, "...alright...well..where do we go to change?"
Paka shrugs, "Back at the orphanage...I wanna drop off my backpack.
Bode gives another small nod, "...you live in an orphanage?"
Paka nods, "Uh-huh."
"Ah..."
Paka jams his hands into the small pockets of the jeans, "...hurry up."
Bode gives a quiet nods and sigh, "Alright, alright.." He does as he is asked to.
Paka leads him quickly down the path away from the school, "...you owe me, you know."
"Yeah..I know I do..thank you so much..."
Paka crosses his arms, "And I intend bigger thanks than that."
Bode nods, "...how can I repay you...?"
Paka smirks, "You'll see."
Bode blinks, following along, "..uh..alright..."
After a short time, they come to a rather rundown looking building of a single story and a rather mock-gothic architecture. Paka shows Bode to the door, opening it slowly.
Bode, looking rather scared, just because he's some place he doesn't know, remains silent and follows along.
Paka leads Bode down a long hall into a massive room with many beds lining the walls. He tosses his backpack onto one of the beds.
Bode follows silently, looking around but still saying nothing.
Paka hrms, "Hold on...gotta change..you can keep those until we get you some pants that fit, I guess."
Bode gives a weak smile, "Alright..thank you.."
Paka digs through a small set of drawers by his bed, pulling out some baggy pants. He quickly changes without asking Bode to look away and then hrms, "So...where to?"
Bode closes his eyes as he realizes Paka is changing, mming, "...where would be best to get clothes...? The mall, or something...?"
Paka nods, "I suppose so."
Bode mms, peaking through a few cracks in his fingers to make sure Paka is done. "...mind if we run by my house really quickly to get money?"
Paka rolls his eyes at Bode's hiding of his eyes, "Fine by me. I'm done ya know."
Bode mms, removing his hands, "...alright.."
Paka crosses his arms, feeling more natural in the loose pants that hang about his waist than in those given to him by Bode. "So...where ya live?"
Bode mms quietly, pointing, "Just over there..it's not too far, I don't think.."
Paka smirks, "Lead the way, man."
Bode is about to tell Paka he's far from being a man, then mentally pauses, recalling his..gender swap. With a small shake of his head, he quietly begins towards the exit.
Paka grins, "What's the matter," he purrs, "Cat got your tongue?" He follows along behind her, sauntering.
Bode crosses his arms, "...no..what's gotten you cocky all of a sudden?"
Paka laughs, "Your gracelessness."
Bode scowls, crosses his arms, "Well, pardon me.." He moves from the building, as if to prove Paka right, practically tripping.
Paka laughs, "See, see, that's what I mean." Desiring to make Bode look even more lacking in grace he does a small flip as the step out onto the curb, landing easily and continuing to walk easily along with Bode.
Bode bites his lip, "I'm not used to being like this! Leave me alone.."
Paka grins, "I know that...but I feel it's my duty to rub it in."
Bode sighs, "Remind me to never let you forget anything you do wrong in the future."
Paka sticks out his tongue, "That's okay. I'm perfect."
Bode makes a small sound, "Oh? I doubt that.."
Paka smiles, "Yep. It's true..."
Bode smiles slightly himself, "We'll see about that..."
Paka nods, "Yep...and you'll see that I'm right."
Bode pushes back some of his hair, glancing up, "We're almost there..and I know I'll prove you wrong."
Paka makes a face, "Nope. I wouldn't count on it."
Bode laughs, pulling a key from his pocket as they reach the door to a nice house. He pushes it into the lock, turning it and slowly opening the door, peaking inside. "..I hope no one notices I'm a guy..."
Paka rolls his eyes, "What kinda family do you have that you think they won't notice.."
Bode gives a small shrug, "...they don't care...they don't pay any attention to me, anyways. This isn't my real family, anyways.." He walks inside, holding the door open and waiting for Paka.
Paka follows Bode inside, "Ah."
Bode shuts the door, giving a small nod and moving towards the living room.
Paka follows, a little bounce in his step. Man..this place was nice.
They enter a large room, where a man sits in a large chair reading the newspaper, "...John..? I needed to buy clothes..." The man nods, not even glancing up as he holds up a credit card. "Don't spend much. You can work it off later..." Bode snatches the plastic, "Thanks..."
Paka blinks, hardly believing the transaction. He looks back and forth, "What? Just like that?"
Bode slips the card into his pocket, beginning to walk back to the door, "Yeah..."
Paka follows, scowling, "No fair..." he mutters.
Bode gives a small shrug, about to say something, though he stops as he feels a hand on his rear. A tall boy stands behind him, smirking a bit, "Hi Bode..who's your little friend? And are you getting taller..?" He trails off, reaching a hand around, setting it on where he figures Bode's chest should be. He pauses, feeling around, "..and flatter...?" Bode stiffens slightly, turning a bit to look at the boy, who stiffens, erking a bit at the realization that it's a boy.
Paka turns, looking at the boy and scowling. Stupid tall people... He crosses his arms, his expression lightening a bit at the boy's expression...
Bode shifts away from the boy, "...what?" He twitches a bit, "..what the...?"
Without waiting for him to continue, Bode quickly moves to the door, taking a hold of Paka's wrist and pulling him along.
Paka laughs, "Seeya, perv!" he chirps as he is pulled outside.
(like he has a right to talk ^^)
The boy stands dumb-founded as Bode shuts the door behind them, sighing, and brushing off his back end. "...shall we go...?"
Paka laughs, "Not until you explain that guy. Your boyfriend?"
Bode begins walking, "Foster brother...definitely not my boyfriend.."
Paka follows, grinning, "...he noticed," he points out.
Bode sighs, "..I know..but John and Sally won't listen..."
Paka grins, "Then you should be glad."
Bode nods, glancing at Paka, "I am, to some extent...I wish he just wasn't there at all..."
Paka nods, "I suppose that's understandable..."
Bode hms quietly, "...how're we gonna get to the mall?"
Paka shrugs, "Dunno. You're the one with the money."
Bode hrms, turning and running back inside for a moment. He emerges again with some coins in hand, "We can take the bus..but we can't stay too late...or we'll have no way to get home."
Paka nods, "Yes, yes. Sounds okay. I don't plan on being there that long anyway..."
Bode mms quietly, "Alright...let's go to the stop, then." He begins to walk.
Paka follows, "...So what all are we doing to buy for you."
Bode gives a half-shrug, glancing back at Paka, "..anything I need, and that will fit me.."
Paka grins, "Everything?"
Bode blinks, "..huh?"
Paka laughs, shaking his head, "Oh...nothing..."
Bode looks rather confused, stopping as they reach a small sign marked with a little black bus.
Paka shakes his head, "Forget it, girly." He stops, crossing his arms.
Bode scowls slightly, crosses his arms and adapting a very girlish stance, "Don't call me that."
Paka sniggers, "When you stand like that, I have a reason..."
Bode glances down, "...leave me alone."
Paka smiles, "Aw, c'mon...can't you take a joke?"
Bode makes a face, "Obviously not."
Paka sighs, laughing uneasily, "Guess not..."
Bode smiles faintly, "I'm just...not thrilled with what's happened..so..."
Paka nods, "I know you're not."
Bode mms a bit, "..thanks for helping me, Paka.."
Paka shrugs, "You don't have to keep thanking me. It's bad for my image."
"And why is that?"
"Cause it is, okay."
Bode pushes back some of his hair, smiling and glancing up as the bus pulls in. The doors open, and he begins to climb the stairs.
Paka follows, pouting a bit, but saying nothing.
Bode hands the coins over, moving to sit down and waiting for Paka to following, having paid for the other boy as well.
Paka follows, plopping down beside Bode, his posture lazy and at ease.
Bode glances at him, "...do you have any idea of what kinda clothes I should wear?"
Paka shrugs, "Whatever makes you comfortable."
Bode nods slightly, sighing and leaning back into the seat.
Paka watches him, "What? Bad answer?"
Bode shakes his head, "No...I'm just confused..."
Paka sighs, "Well you should be."
Bode bites down on his lip, glancing out the window, "...I don't want to be like this.."
Paka blinks, watching Bode's gaze. What could he say...
Bode says nothing for a long while, remaining motionless. "...I wonder why this happened, though..."
Paka leans back, sighing and shrugging.
Bode gives a weak laugh, leaning back in his seat and gazing out the window.
Paka forces a smile, looking over at Bode, "Maybe you're just a freak."
"...maybe I am."
Paka frowns, jabbing him, "I'm just kidding."
Bode shrugs a bit, saying nothing.
Paka sighs, "Jeeze...don't be so serious..."
"..I can't help it..."
Paka sets his hands in his lap, "Why?"
Bode mms quietly, "...I don't know.....but it doesn't matter."
Paka averts his eyes. He may look like a guy..but he's still moody like a chick.
Bode glances at Paka, biting his lip. Soon, the bus stops at the mall, and Bode stands.
Paka stands as well, following Bode quietly.
Bode hops off the bus, beginning towards the large building.
Paka follows, "Jeeze...why so cold?"
Bode glances back, "...It's just really starting to hit me..."
"How do you mean?"
Bode frowns, "..that I'm a guy...and..that I may not be able to be a girl again..and I'll have to change a lot..."
Paka glances up at her, frowning. He'd not really given it much thought..but why should he....it isn't his problem.
Bode shakes his head a bit, opening the door as they reach it, "...where to?"
Paka smirks, "Well, if it were me, I'd say let's head to Hot Topic. But for you...maybe just a department store?"
Bode nods slightly, "...alright.."
Paka sighs, reaching up and putting a hand on Bode's shoulder. "...it'll be alright..."
Bode glances at Paka, smiling weakly, "...I hope so....."
Paka nods, "It will be. C'mon, don't look so down. It's not becoming."
Bode finally actually smiles, "Okay..I'll try, Paka."
Paka smiles, "That's better...you're so pretty when you smile."
Bode blushes faintly, glancing off, "..w-where are we going, again?"
Paka smiles, removing his hand, "...department store. For your clothes."
Bode mms, beginning to walk, "Oh, yes..."
Paka follows him, "You sure have a short memory."
Bode glances at him, sticking out his tongue, "Leave me alone.."
Paka grins, "Cool it, Bo."
Bode smiles, ruffling Paka's hair, "Fine, I will."
Paka beams, "Good to know."
Bode walks into a near-by store, slowly enough that Paka will follow and looking around, "...okay..help..."
Paka follows along with Bode, looking around, "Jeeze...weird place."
Bode gives a slight shrug, "...it's normal clothes..."
Paka nods, "I know..."
Bode raises an eyebrow slightly, "So why is it weird?"
Paka laughs, "Just to me..." he glances down at his own clothing.
Bode looks along with him, smiling a bit, "I guess that makes sense..."
Paka nods, "Course it does."
Bode mms quietly, "What do we get, first?"
Paka smirks a bit, "I suggest we start with the most basic article..."
Bode blinks, then realizes what he's talking about, "...eh..."
Paka laughs, "Well, it's important ain't it? You can't just wear panties all your life."
Bode twitches slightly, "Not so loud..and yeah, it is..."
Paka smirks, "I mean...cause...girls' undergarments are missing something rather...important."
Bode waves a hand at him, "Stop talking!"
Paka laughs, "Ya know...a home for Mr. Winky?"
Bode closes his eyes, "Shut up!! I don't need to hear this!!"
Paka smiles, "Sure you do. You have to talk about it sometime."
Bode makes a small sound, "But I don't want to.."
Paka sighs, "Too shy? What could you never talk about breasts either?"
Bode keeps his eyes closed, as though that would help at all, "...can we please get off the subject? Especially since we're in the middle of a store..."
Paka laughs, "Okay, okay..." He stops in front of a small section of the store, pointing to the shelves, "Well...boxers or briefs?"
Bode opens one eye, following Paka, "...I...don't know..."
Paka sighs, "Well, you have to pick.."
Bode is about to argue, but decides not to, "..whatever you wear, I guess..."
Paka laughs, "Boxers then?"
Bode nods, "I guess..."
Paka nods, "Okay. So pick some out."
Bode shakes his head, "...you...."
Paka laughs, "But that's the wonder of boxers...patterns. So pick what you like. I can't pick for you."
Bode blinks, "...what's the point of putting patterns on things no one's going to see...?"
Paka grins, "It's fun!"
"...how is that fun?"
"It just is."
Bode gives a small shrug, "....if you say so..but...really, I don't care..."
((*baps Bode* don't question the way of the boxers!))
"Then pick if you don't care."
Bode mms, "But..."
Paka crosses his arms, waiting rather impatiently.
Bode watches Paka for a moment before glancing back at the shelf, taking a few of the more plain plaid ones. "There. Happy?"
"Ecstatic. Though those are kinda boring..."
Bode gives a quiet sigh. "I'm the only one who's every gonna see them. Why does it matter?"
"I'm seeing them now, aren't I?"
Bode makes a face at him, "And you'll never see them again."
Paka grins, "Oh? Are you certain of that."
Bode crosses his arms, "Of course I am. Why would you ever see them again?"
Paka smiles, "Heh...no reason."
Bode, not really getting what Paka means, pokes him, "If you have something in mind, tell me."
Paka grins, "Nothing in mind..."
Bode sighs, shaking his head, "Whatever...what now?"
Paka smiles, "Well..."
Bode cocks his head slightly, "...well?"
Paka shrugs, "Pants, shirts, shoes, socks...?"
Bode mms, "I guess pants, next...."
~*~
Paka walks around the mall with Bode, carrying numerous bags in his small arms and trembling a bit, "God...heavy..." He glances over at Bode, who holds some as well, "Think you bought enough ya weirdo?"
Bode laughs a bit, "Yeah, I think so... you want me to carry some of that?"
Paka growls, "Yeah, yeah I'd like that...stupid girl..."
Bode rearranges some bags he's holding, leaning down a bit and holding out an arm. "Oh shush..here.."
Paka hands one of the bags over to Bode, glad to lighten his load. He glances about, suddenly hearing the voice over the intercom that informs that the mall will be closing.
Bode takes the bag, glancing up. "We better hurry, then..." He glances at his watch as they walk, "...the last bus leaves pretty soon.."
Paka stops suddenly, twitching, "Uh...Bode...what time is it?"
Bode mms, looking back at him. '...just 8:50...why?"
Paka makes a face, "The last bus leaves -now- ..."
Bode makes a small sound, "...oh no..."
Paka's shoulders slump, partially due to holding up the weight of the bags, "Ah god..."
Bode mms, "..maybe it's late...let's hurry and see..."
Paka sighs, "Yeah, yeah..."
Bode moves quickly to the door, opening it in time to see the bus a bit of a ways off leaving. He gives a quiet moan, "..how're we gonna get home...?"
Paka sighs, "I don't know about -you- but the orphanage staff won't answer the phone after 9...so I don't know..."
Bode bites his lip, "...we don't have any money to call anyone, anyways...and we can't pay a taxi with a credit card...."
Paka sighs, looking around, "...looks like it's about to rain..."
Bode closes his eyes for a moment, reopening them and looking at Paka, "..I'm really sorry..I..guess we'll just have to start walking..."
Paka nods, "Well...there's a bunch of hotels a couple blocks from here...you can use credit cards there, right?"
Bode nods a bit, "...yeah, you're right...so let's just head over there, stay for the night?"
Paka nods, "Kay...hope we can get there before the rain comes down...Hate rain..."
Bode begins walking, glancing up at the sky, "You do? I don't mind it that much..."
Paka follows, struggling a bit with the bags, "I -loathe- rain..."
Bode glances back, smiling faintly, "...you want me to carry more of those? You're so little...it must be hard.."
Paka scowls, "I'm not little..."
Bode laughs, "If you say so..."
Paka growls, "I'm not!"
Bode nods a bit, walking, "Alright, alright."
By the time the pair reaches the hotel, the rain has started to fall from the sky, heavy and hard. Paka's hair is plastered to his face, as his clothing is to his thin body. He wears a look of agitation and barely manages to balance the bags he carries...he walks into the hotel lobby behind Bode.
Bode brushes back a wet lock of his hair, he too, is soaked. He walks up to the counter where a lady stands, looking rather agitated they were bringing in all that water... They exchange a few words, and after a few moments, Bode takes a key she hands him, "Alright, Paka.."
Paka shakes his head about for a moment like a wet feline, trying to get his hair and face drier without the use of his hands. "Finally..."
Bode laughs a bit, walking towards a hallway in the back, "Come on..we can dry off in the room.."
Paka scowls, following him, "I know that..."
Bode smiles, as soon as they reach a door sticking the key in the lock and pushing it open. "She said all they had left were single bed rooms..."
Paka shrugs, "I don't care as long as the room is warm and dry." He makes a face, once again shaking his head quickly.
Bode flinches slightly as a droplet of water from Paka gets in his eye, "It won't be dry if you keep shaking..." He drops the bags off to one side of the room.
Paka follows in suit, dropping the bags quickly and taking off his shirt. He sneezes quietly...no surprise. They had been walking in the rain for a while.
Bode slowly peels off his shirt as well, looking down at his bare chest for a moment. "I hope you don't get sick..."
Paka wipes his nose, sneezing again, and replies, "I'm not sick..." He unbuttons his pants, slipping them off as well.
Bode turns around quickly, "Tell me before you do that!"
Paka scowls, "Why? It's just like wearing shorts in front of you." He points down to his boxers, "Besides, we're both boys. It doesn't matter."
Bode mms quietly, "..but..I'm not supposed to be a boy..and..I know they're just like shorts..but.." He shakes is head, then turns back around, "Just forget it.."
Paka disappears into the washroom for a moment, getting a towel. He starts to dry his hair and his thin wiry figure. "God it's cold..."
Bode runs his fingers through his now straight hair, mming. "..yeah...sorry...."
Paka dries down his face and the remainder of his revealed body. "...this place is pretty nice though..." he pauses, "Can we turn on the heat?"
Bode nods a bit, moving over to the heater and switching it on, "I guess it's nice..."
Paka shivers, tossing the towel onto a nearby chair. He glances over to the window, watching the rain outside for a long moment before walking over and closing the blinds.
Bode watches him, giving a quiet yawn and moving over to the bags, pulling out a dry pair of pants and boxers. He moves into the bathroom, reemerging after a few moments.
Paka shivers, dreadfully cold in his wet garments. He says nothing of it, however, and sits down in a chair.
Bode watches him, "..you can always wear some of the clothes we bought..." He moves to the bed, jumping into it and pulling the sheets up around him and burrowing into them, shivering a bit himself.
Paka glances at him, "But those are yours."
Bode gives a small shrug, "I can't wear them all at once, you know..and I took your pants..."
Paka stands, making a quiet noise of thanks and beginning to walk to the bag.
Bode smiles a bit, pulling the covers up about his neck.
Paka, after a few moments of thought, pulls out and slips into a pair of shorts they'd purchased. He wouldn't wear the other boy's boxers...that would just be odd. He moves over, slipping into the bed as well and pulling the blankets up about his body.
Bode shifts a bit to give the other boy more room, and looks at him, "..will they be worried about you..?"
Paka laughs, "The staff and the other boys?"
Bode nods a bit, hopping out of the bed for a moment to go turn off the lights before returning, "Yeah.."
Paka smirks as Bode returns to bed. He strokes the boy's arm, playfully saying, "Well..since we're here..." he moves his hand down the boy's hip.
Bode turns bright red, yelping and shifting back a bit...and falling off the bed.
Paka laughs, pulling his hand back, "Calm down, calm down, I'm only kidding."
Bode sighs, pulling himself back up onto the bed, still blushing a bit, "You seem to be kidding most of the time..."
Paka nods, "Yep. And you should take that into account."
Bode hms, "...but..what if you really mean it, and I think you're kidding? What then?"
Paka shrugs, "Then you'll break my fragile little heart."
Bode smiles faintly, "See? I'd rather just freak out a bunch..." He shifts a bit, his back now to Paka.
Paka smirks, "Yeah, well..."
"So, I'm just going to be having near heart-attacks constantly, I suppose.." He watches the few flashes he can see through the blinds, jumping a bit as a large, crashing boom is heard.
Paka yelps, pulling the covers over his head and sinking down into the bed. He small figure shakes.
Bode blinks, shifting a bit and turning to look at the lump beside him, "...Paka? What's wrong..?"
Paka releases a quiet whimpers, shaking more so as he hears more thunder outside the window. He closes his eyes tightly.
Bode slowly lifts the edges of the covers, poking his head in, "...are...you scared?"
Paka makes another quiet whimper, forcing, "W..What do you think!?" He pulls the covers back over him, hiding away.
Bode gives a quiet laugh, going under the covers a bit to watch Paka, "There's nothing to be scared of..."
Paka swipes at his face, "Lemme alone!" He remains under the covers, a shivering mass.
Bode hms, suddenly yanking at the covers, trying to pull them off of Paka even for a moment.
Paka yelps as the covers are lifted off his head and a loud bolt of thunder cracks across the sky. Without thinking he moves, clinging desperately to Bode, the fear making his body stiff. A few tears begin to form in his tightly shut eyes.
Bode blinks, blushing a bit and looking down at him. He pulls the covers back up around them, holding to Paka and quietly shushing him, "Don't worry..."
Paka makes a quiet noise, still shaking quiet fiercely.
Bode gives quiet sigh, gently stroking Paka's hair, "Calm down, Paka...I'll take care of you..."
Paka leans into him, hiding his eyes and trying to drive the sound of the thunder from his thoughts.
Bode closes his eyes, resting his head against Paka's and humming quietly, still holding tightly to him.
After a few long moments in the dark, Paka's body ceases in shaking and his breathing is noticeably even...he has fallen asleep.
Bode ceases his humming, glancing down at the form in his arms with a soft smile, "...I told you that you weren't perfect..." He closes his eyes, giving a quiet yawn and falling asleep himself.
