Blue and Ildon

Blue is already seated in his chair, the large cello he had lugged here earlier this morning sitting propped up on the ground. The boy looks as he always does.. slightly agitated.
Ildon moves into the ample orchestra room, listening to the dull chattering in the hall beyond the doorway. He carries a sleek violin case carefully, clutched to his chest, and moves to one of the empty chairs...
Blue glances at Ildon for a moment, though he says nothing, slipping the bow from the front part of his cello case silently.
Ildon, who sits with his constant awkwardness, glances at Blue, smiling meekly. "Uh..h-hi..."
Blue mms quietly, looking up from his instrument at Ildon. "...hi."
Ildon lowers his head, crossing his legs neatly as he sets his violin case in his lap.
Blue watches him for a moment more, beginning to run the hairs of the bow along his resin. "...you're in my Biology class, ne? First period?"
Ildon nods, "I believe so..."
Blue smiles slightly, nodding as well and continuing about fixing his cello.
Ildon opens up his case, pulling out a glossy, wooden instrument and a long bow. Every few moments he glances over at Blue, uncertainly.
Blue plays one long note, wrinkling his nose a bit and trying to adjust the sound. "...so, what's your name...?" Yay, he's attempting to make conversation!
Ildon flinches a bit at the high, off-pitch sound. In spite of this, he smiles, "Uh...my name's Ildon..."
Blue plays the string once again, the note sounding a great deal better, "..it's nice to meet you, I suppose. I'm Blue..."
Ildon watches Blue, making a careful note to remember the boy's face. He laughs sheepishly, "I must sound very...stupid, hm? Sorry...I'm just kind of nervous...I don't really know anyone here and.."
Blue shakes his head a bit. "...people get nervous all the time. It's nothing to apologize for." He glances to Ildon for a moment. "...so you're new? I don't know many people here, myself. Especially the older kids."
Ildon nods, "I guess that makes sense...I mean...Seniors don't tend to associate with Freshmen, hm?" He watches Blue carefully for a moment.
Blue gives a small nod. "No...not that I care, of course. Most of them are morons, anyways."
Ildon laughs, "If you say so..."
Blue smiles faintly, finishing up tuning his instrument and setting it up.
Ildon watches him, "Have you been playing long?"
Blue glances up, after a moment shaking his head. "Iie..not too long... only a year or two."
Ildon nods, lifting his violin from its case and stroking it carefully. "I love music...it's the only thing that really calms my nerves..."
Blue hms quietly. "...it's just something to pass the time for me. Plus, my parents make me play. They say I need to be smarter." He makes a quiet scoffing sound.
Ildon tilts his head to the side, "Oh? Are you having trouble with your grades?" Blue laughs, shaking his head. "Of course not. My parents have this...thing, about being really, really smart. Of course, I'm in all the highest level classes and such, and am getting A's..but that doesn't seem to be enough."
Ildon frowns, a little taken back. Though whether it is by the boy's words or by his obvious opinion of himself, it is unclear. "Oh...."
Blue nods, leaning back in his chair and yawning quietly.
Ildon bites his lower lip. Silence...he'd never been at ease with it. He moves the instrument case carefully to the floor and raises the violin to his shoulder, beginning to play quietly...
Blue blinks, glancing at Ildon and listening quietly.
Ildon closes his eyes, continuing to play the violin in silence. He waits for Blue to speak, unable to otherwise break the silence....
Blue continues to watch, shaking his head after a moment. "..You play well..."
Ildon opens his eyes glancing at Blue, "Mother doesn't seem to think so."
Blue blinks, "...oh?"
Ildon shrugs as much as the instrument will allow, continuing to play without missing a beat. "She says I have clumsy fingers."
Blue gives a small shrug as well, "I think it sounds fine..."
Ildon laughs, though the gesture seems a bit broken. "Thank you..."
Blue smiles slightly, "You're welcome..." He glances up at the clock. "Class'll be starting, soon....I'm guessing you have A Lunch? I was told most Freshman do.."
Ildon nods, "Uh-huh....I do..." His eyes also move to the clock and he moves the instrument from his shoulder, stopping abruptly.
Blue glances at his cello, rubbing off a small smudge from the gleaming wood. "...and you don't know anyone, right? So do you think you'd wanna eat lunch with me and my brother...?"
Ildon blinks, watching Blue, "R...Really? You mean it?"
Blue glances at him, nodding. "..Yeah.. I figured you'd just be eating lunch all by yourself if you didn't know anyone...."
Ildon nods, "That'd be great...really great..."
Blue smiles a bit, nodding. "Alright.." A few other kids begin moving into the room.
Ildon places his instrument quickly back into its case, not wanting to stand out. "Thanks..."
Blue hms quietly, nodding once again. "..it's no problem. You can meet my twin, Rouge.."
Ildon nods, "Twin?"
"Yes...I have a twin. We're not exactly alike, though."
Ildon nods, starting to speak. But he is cut off as a few students start to sit in the chairs between them.
Blue leans forward a bit in his seat to look at Ildon, smiling. "We can talk more at lunch, alright?"
Ildon nods quickly, "Uh-huh."
Blue leans back into his seat, pushing back a lock of his hair as the bell rings to begin classes.
Ildon sinks back into his chair, feeling uneasy among the growing crowd...
Blue watches as the teacher enters, introduces himself, and the class begins.
Ildon look around the room, green locks moving about his face.
