† Always and Forever †

The city was practically leveled, crumbling buildings littering the landscape like skeletons. The sky was darkening, the distant thunder annoucing a coming storm. Standing alone in a clear spot was a small blue reploid, his armor covered in dust, blood, and dirt. But he didn't seem to care. He was too busy watching the other person standing across from him. Memories were surfacing, and the insanity was fading from his eyes.

"...Zero...you..."

The other reploid stood poised, "...I'll finish you off! You shouldn't be doing this!"

X continued to watch him. "...y-you..you have the nerve to come and tell me to stop!? After it was you!! You did this to me!" His voice suddenly cracked, his eyes slowly filling with tears. A few rain drops had begun to fall. "..why did you leave me...? I-I...loved you..I would have done anything for you...anything...."

The red reploid blinked, relaxing slightly, "...what are you talking about? ...what do you mean...?" Something felt peculiar about this. There was another rumble of thunder.

"...Zero..how.." He paused for a long time, suddenly beginning to feel tears breaking from his eyes to travel down his cheeks. He began to scream, "I loved you!! I loved you and you deserted me!! You shut yourself up in that stupid capsule for what?! Huh?! You left me here to go insane!!!!! I loved you!!" His entire body shook. He was a child again, broken.

Zero's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't trust him..any of this. He didn't remember, so how could it be true? Why would it be true..? "Stop trying to confuse me!" He held out his weapon threateningly.

The other boy seemed to ignore him, shaking, "..I loved you..but you didn't love me, did you Zero? You couldn't have, or you would have stayed with me. This is all your fault..because you didn't love me enough to stay with me." He suddenly had smiled, "...so I'll make sure you're alone too. I'll get rid of everything...I'll kill everyone, person by person, machine by machine, alone if I have to. Just so you'll be alone. Just so you'll know what it feels like. So you can be torn to shreds inside, Zero. You don't deserve me."

The rain began to fall in large drops, a thin bolt of lightening ripping through the sky.

"...but I still love you more than life itself. ...you don't deserve me."
