Amber Trump Deck Logs RL Pictures Main World's End Bar...
Nash lifts his five fingered hand off the table, spits on it and offers the unattractive appendage towards Arashi.
Yosannah drums her fingers over her biceps, impatient. Her gaze travels the room, regarding the rafters for a short time and smiling to herself.
Arashi spits in his hand then clasps Nash's, his eyes on him. He nods.
Nash returns Arashi's nod, then reclaims his spitty hand and slides out of his seat.
Arashi retreaves his hand and watches Nash depart.
Nash starts to wander back towards Yosannah, wiping his hand off on his, frankly disgusting, shirt.
Arashi watches Nash leave, then gets up, wipping his hand clean on a napkin. It's more sanitary, you know.
Kita looks at Arashi. "Hello Mr. Man."
Yosannah's attentioon turns to Arashi as Nash departs his table. She regards him cooly. Dubious. Smiling as Nash approaches.
Arashi looks over to Kita "Hello Kita." He doesn't notice Yosannah.
Nash spins to look at Kita as he hears her voice. He backpeddles into a seat at the booth, opposite Yosannah.
At your booth, Yosannah says "How'd it go?"
Kita giggles. "Mr. Scary man is over there. What are you doing?"
Nash frowns at the cat thing, then averts his gaze.
At your booth, Nash says "Pax till I'm grown up again. I don't think he's crazy anymore."
Arashi says "Well, he's not mr. scary right now. I was going over to see if that gentleman over there..." he motions to Joshua "Would care for some compnay."
Kita says "Can I come too? No he is always Mr. Scary man don't touch me or I'll eat you up and spit you out"
At your booth, Yosannah says "Crazy? What do you mean."
Nash covers the ear facing the room, as if it helped.
At your booth, Nash scowls, "Cat!" and then, "He was crazy before. Insane. I remember talking to him."
Kita meows to Nash. "Meow Mr. scary man."
At your booth, Yosannah wets her lips and considers Nash, "Logrus crazy?"
Arashi pauses and says "I do not know, Kita. He is a private man and he enjoys his space."
At your booth, Nash says "I don't know. I dunno."
Nash covers both ears. Scowling at the table.
Kita looks at Joshua. "Can I sit with you please?"
Yosannah bites at her lower lip and looks from Nash to Kita. She looks to Joshua next and nods, perhaps hoping he'll say yes to the cat creature.
Joshua says "As long as you don't lick yourself."
Kita nods "I take baths in a Fishy pond, I only lick my paw to clean my face."
At your booth, Yosannah says "You okay now Nash. She gone." She seems genuinely concerned. "Okay?"
At your booth, Nash says "She's right over there."
Kita waits for Arashi to walk over before she dares to sit down.
Arashi nods and sighs "Well, though it seems a bit round about... Joshua, would you care for some company? I'll buy the beers." he smiles.
Joshua gestures at the free chairs at his table.
Arashi nods to Joshua "Thank you." he walks over and takes a seat.
At your booth, Nash tells you emphatically, "I don't like her."
Nash slowly and cautiously drags his hands off his ears.
At your booth, Yosannah nods, serious. "I see that. She's gone, alright."
Yosannah looks over at Joshua, mouthing a word of 'thanks', despite not knowing if his acceptance of the cat woman was a result of her request.
Nash flits a glance at Kita, then looks back to Yosannah, still seeming scowly.
At your booth, Yosannah says "She's going to stay there. Okay. If not, we'll leave."
At your booth, Nash says in more mollified tones, "She touches everyone. I don't like most people touching me."
Yosannah adjust herself in the booth, sitting up fully now, inclining her head with a tilt so that she might regard Nash.
At your booth, Yosannah says "I know. I'm sorry, Nash."
At your booth, Nash says "S'not your fault she's a cat."
Nash leans his elbows on the table and his chin on the edge as well. Staring at nothing in particular.
At your booth, Yosannah says "That's not what I mean." She turns her gaze across the room to look at nothing as well. "Not what I mean."
At your booth, Nash says "What do you mean?"
At your booth, Yosannah turns attention back to the boy, lips pursed as the words she is seeking don't seem to come easily. Ultimately, she sighs, "I'm sorry." Her voice is low, a soft tenor, "I'm sorry if I hurt you. Do you know what I'm talking about?"
At your booth, Nash squints, gaze shifting to you momentarily, "Yes. Don't want to talk about that."
At your booth, Yosannah nods, gaze drifting away again, "We don't have to. But please accept my apology."
Joshua nods at Arashi. He squints over towards Nash and Yosannah.
At your booth, Nash huffs. After a few moments he huffs again, this time saying, "He's my best friend. Promise not to ever mess with that again and I will."
Nash is still draped indecoratively on the table, talking low occasionally.
At your booth, Yosannah furrows her brow, perhaps not quite understanding the request.. She nods after a moment, "I promise."
At your booth, Nash says "'Kay."
Yosannah offers Nash a meek smile as she runs her hands over her hair.
Nash isn't smiling, but he isn't scowling anymore either.
At your booth, Yosannah says "'Kay." And then, "Would you like to tell me..." she considers, "... why no touching? Just so I know."
At your booth, Nash says "Can I get a coke?"
At your booth, Yosannah says "Sure."
At your booth, Nash opens his mouth to say something ...
Joshua's eyes narrow as he watches Nash.
Nash jerks himself up off his table sprawl, hands going to his head and his face screwing up, "Aaaaauuuw!"
Yosannah is obviously startled by the sudden yelp that comes from the boy. She rises, hands pressed flat to her table, "Nash?" Her gaze darts to the others in the room for a brief moment.
Arashi looks over his shoulder to the commotion. He spills his beer and stands up quickly, his gaze down to the mess and his pants.
Nash's legs kick a moment before he curls up in the booth as tight as he can, whole arms over his head now as he bursts into tears and rocks back and forth, near screaming, "Aaaow! It hurts! It hurts!"
Kita looks to arashi. "oh no scary man is scary again." She grabs him.
Arashi growls "Fuck... and I just had these cleaned too..." he says, still looking down at himself, brushing beer away as best as he can.
Joshua rises, never taking his eyes off Nash. He grips Arashi's arm and finally turns away. They move forward and vanish, taking Kita with them.
Yosannah drops to the floor before Nash, a mirror, as she lowers to her knees. "Nash?" She intones softly, careful to keep a comfortable distance from the boy, "Nash, talk to me please."
Nash lifts his head a bit, breath hitching as he wipes a sleeve across his eyes and looks around, teeth bared momentarily in a fearsome grimace before his lips lower over his teeth again. "Huh-huh-headache. We got a real bad headache ... gone now."
Yosannah nods, supportive, "Okay." She wets her lips, breath coming quick, "Okay. Let me talk to him, Nash. Can I talk with Famine for a minute." She holds her hands out, palms facing him to indicate that she will keep her distance.
Nash looks more confused than anything else, until his lips ride up over his teeth again, his eyes turning from pale grey to black and a stream of curses rolling off his tongue that would make a sailor blush.
Nash's voice, now a deep and croaking affair, grinds out angrily, "Josh-u-a!"
Yosannah clenches a fist, and purses her lips, "Spade. That bastard." She demands, obviously of Famine, "How."
Nash's expression, still angry, still grinning, aims for a dash of sardonic as well, "He made a use of my little host's little mind. There was but a tiny delay in which to recognise him."
Yosannah questions are brief, to the point, "Why?" Her jaw works, grinding teeth.
Nash says "How the fuck should I know? He didn't piss around waiting to be asked!"
Yosannah's gaze flits back and forth and she sits back on her heels, "He needs a reminder." She tugs at her lower lip with her teeth, "Apparently the last one I gave him has run it's course."
Nash says "He sure scattered quick enough ... that means something. What was the point? Maybe just to see if he could."
Yosannah considers, "That last goddamn Amberite that tried that shit was Dalt. I, for one, don't want to be somebody's pawn again. I trust you don't either." She nods, "And we both know Nash sure the hell doesn't."
Nash agrees, "No-one's pawn." he looks at you and croaks, "Not Magnus' either."
Yosannah nods in understanding, "Not Magnus' either. Definitely not."
Nash says "He wants us."
Yosannah nods, "I've been told as much." She studies the figure of the boy, "Is Nash okay. He's fragile like this."
Nash uncurls, waving a hand, "The lunatic is looking after him."
Yosannah exhales a short gust of breath, corners of her mouth upturn slightly, knowing, "How many minds are in there, Christ."
Nash shakes his head, croaking, "One - well two, counting me - more if you count forms. I'm talking about that seriously broken individual he's hooked up with. James Killjoy. And Hank, of course, when he's around."
Yosannah reaches a hand to the table and pulls herself up and off the ground. "Right, of course. Hank." She swallows, thinking, "Joshua won't let this go. He knows we are aware of what he's done. And Magnus." At that moment, realization seems to fall over her face, "That's it."
Nash narrows his eyes, "You think they're in cahoots?"
A glint begins in her eyes and creeps to her lips, "No. Absolutely not. But," she raises one hand, palm up, "Magnus," then the other, "Joshua. How easy would it be to pit them against one another." She raises a brow, wondering.
Nash hisses through his teeth thoughtfully. "An option. Let's find out Joshua's motives first, we might not want to be looking the wrong way on anything."
Yosannah nods, "Right. And the others? War and Death?"
Nash says "Death is not yet returned, although Anubis seems certain it will come to him."
Her eyes go wide for a moment, "Return? And what of Arion?"
Nash shakes his head, "No sign, he has most likely failed."
Yosannah raises a fisted hand to her mouth, fingers tug at her lower lip, "It happens. I've seen it before. Arion was... is such a strong man." She shrugs. "Ryker, on the other hand, I know how to find."
Nash nods, "Then warn him."
"Fair enough." She thinks, "You know, Nash, in this state, has rather loose lips as of late. Perhaps you might be able to do something for him. Until he is himself again."
Nash shrugs, rasping, "There are complications with that. What in particular worries you?"
Yosannah seems a little reluctant to specify, or, more appropriately, to critisize, "He has little control over his new talents it seems. You are aware, no doubt, that The Banished Sun is our home. He needs to have a better handle on things when he's there." She smirks, "Unless we have you to thank for his apparently carelessness."
Nash's grin somehow widens, "He isn't used to starving without his art. Such a satisfying thing, this perpetual hunger - and childhood has given it a more simplistic but razor edge. I was just spreading the love."
Yosannah is unable to hide a smile at that. "And what of this arangement," she drawls on the word, "with Arashi."
Nash says "As much a bargain between my host and I as Nash and Arashi."
Yosannah inquires, "How so."
Nash cackles, "Nash fears the destruction of worlds by the four. I see nothing to gain in killing everyone either - they cannot hunger, or breed more mouths to feed, if they're all dead."
"Sound reason. And how does this transcend to his relationship with Arashi?"
Nash tilts his head, tone slightly condescending as if you should have worked it out already, "Arashi fears the destruction of worlds by the four ... the current agreement is a temporary thing between them. We will not lay waste to large numbers of people and he will lay off the public vilification. Until they can speak again, adult to adult."
Arashi appears suddenly.
Yosannah spats, "He's an idiot. ..." Her voice trails off as Arashi arrives.
Arashi trumps in. He's holding a rather large, multi shot crossbow device. Currently he has it held high, instead of leveled. There is no trump visable. He slowly surveys the room.
Nash follows Yosannah's gaze, his eyes black, his face grinning broadly. He croaks to Yosannah, "Mind your own lips, sugar."
Arashi drops it to 3/4 hold and asks Nash "How are you?"
Yosannah slides a hand into the front right pocket of her pants.
Arashi notes "This is only if any of you decide to become unreasonable. I only came back to see how Nash is."
Yosannah offers to Arashi, as the comment seems directed at her, "Unreasonable?Moi. Hardly."
Arashi nods "You never know." he moves the crossbow thing up a little higher again. "So, how is Nash?"
Yosannah withdraws her hand from her pocket, fingers cluched. Her gaze slides to Nash.
Nash glances at Yosannah and shakes his head slightly, then stands up on the booth, stepping onto the table, motions loose and confident as he gains a little height. He turns his impossibly broad grin back onto Arashi, croaking deeply, "A little upset, but then, wouldn't you be? What motive behind that, eh?"
Arashi adjust his attention a little to Nash "You'd have to ask Joshua about that."
Jack appears by the steps to the balcony. He slips the trump from his right hand up his left sleeve as he looks about.
Arashi is standing near his trump in place, holding a rather large, multishot crossbow thing. Its held up on high, instead of aimed leveled. He's speaking towards Yo and Nash.
Yosannah makes a brief note of Jack's arrival, though there is no greeting. She seems intent on Arashi.
Nash is standing on the table at the booth by the bar. Grinning broadly, black-eyed and deep-voiced. He says to Arashi, "Because that would be real smart, wouldn't it? He's far more likely to tell you. You were right next to him when he did so and for all we know, asked it of him."
Jack holds up his hands, "I give up Arashi. Don't shoot." He grins brightly, "Now everyone knows you can't hit anything with that, might as well put it down. Tell ya what..put it down and I'll buy you a drink."
Arashi says "We just made a Pax. I don't break my Pax's. He told me get ready to trump him out. When Joshua says to do something, one usually doesn't argue. Then you started freaking and I figured all hell was going to break lose, and trumping him out seemed like an even better idea."
Arashi smiles to Jack "This is just in case. I've no entent to use it unless I'm forced to. I just came in to see what happened to Nash, make sure he's ok." he reitterates.
Yosannah's gaze narrows, creases forming at her brow as she spats, "One should start thinking for himself. In any event, You can obviously see he's fine. Visit over."
Jack nods in in Yo's direction, "That is true. Joshua's a real good shot. Shot me three times with that canon of his and I lived. Now that's good shooting if you asked me." Jack nods over to Yo and then looks to Arashi, "I think the lady has a good point."
Yosannah offers Jack a subtle smirk.
Jack looks over to Yo again, "That is agood line. Maybe I could use that one myself one day."
Nash glances at Jack, briefly, then looks back to Arashi, tapping his teeth with a fingernail, "I'd surely like to believe you, boy, for spit and shake isn't to be ignored now, is it?" he cackles lightly, "Still, had Yosannah turned around and shot your kneecap out and then the both of us disappeared, would you not be asking me to give a reason for such a thing?"
Nash senses Yosannah intones in his mind, "Say the word. This pax is bullshit and you know it."
From afar, Nash replies in kind, "The pax stands and now I see how much more I can gain from it. You want to know why. I want to know why. Arashi is our best bet right now."
Yosannah slides her gaze to Nash again and nods knowingly.
Arashi nods to Nash "I've no qualms for your questions in the matter, Nash. I expected them. I'd just rather make sure I get the chance to answer them." he nods to the thing "If you see what I mean." he wets his lips "Point and truth, I wasn't expecting anything. I went to talk to him about my friend who he's dating."
Arashi says to Jack "And you're right, but its mainly between me and Nash, this talk. When he's satisfied, I'm satisfied."
Nash crouches down on the table, staring at Arashi intently, croaking, "Will you try to find an answer for me, Arashi? You know I cannot ask him myself."
Arashi says "I will try. I can't guarentee anything. It is Joshuah. He wasn't too forthcoming when I said ... what the hell was all of that about... when we trumped through and got a chance to breath. But I will try."
Yosannah's intensity seems to wane, seemingly satisfied with Arashi's response to Nash though, obviously, she is skeptical.
Arashi raises the weapon fully up on high, aimed to the ceiling.
Jack puts his hands down and makes his way to the bar and slips onto a stool.
Nash nods sharply, "I suggest you do not mention who wants to know - and should you find an answer, I will owe you an answer, boy." he lowers his head, palms flat out between his feet and exhales heavily.
Arashi nods to Nash "Sure thing, old man." he says, then balances the weapon on one arm while he digs for a trump. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go return this."
Nash looks up, the grin replaced with his childishly serious countenance and his eyes once again a pale shade of grey. He stretches a little, twisting, working out a kink. "Bye."
