World's End Bar...

Yosannah appears under the balcony. She tucks her hands into the pockets of her suede jacket and blinks, eyes adjusting to the light, before her gaze settles on Joshua. She offers him a single inclination of her chin and a greeting, "Hey, Joshua."

Joshua is forever branded with a bland expression, which makes the emotions he does show all the more animated. Shrouded blue eyes and thin lips compliment full cheeks, blending with tanned skin. Young sinew 'V's' up from a slender waist to broad shoulders. Short dark hair is obviously dyed, having blond roots. The cropped sides hint at a tattoo upon his scalp. He is wearing a pair of military style breeches, black with a grey stripe up the outside of each leg. They hug his legs comfortably, the cuffs tight over the ankles of high black boots. A loose buttonless jacket of red canvas is worn over a grey fencing shirt. A leather scabbard hangs from a belt rigging upon his left hip, the longsword inside appears as more than just a weapon - it completes an aura.

Joshua glances over from his relaxed slouch and lifts a hand in greeting.

She glances this way and then that. Noting no other patrons and options for company she strolls toward his table. Once there she gestures with a tilt of her head toward an empty chair, "Mind?"

Joshua says "No, I guess I don't mind."

Yosannah looks him over one more time before sliding a chair away from the table and sitting herself down. She mimics his posture, slumping casually in the chair, "What's going on. Sitting here by yourself."

Joshua unfolds his arms from across his chest, laying a forearm on the table. "This is my office. I'm at work."

Her lips purse into a crooked smirk as she nods, a single inclination of her chin, tonal quality of her voice a tenor. Subtle, "You need a beer then." She gestures toward the bartender, two fingers raised, and then points at their empty table.

Joshua waits until the server leaves, "So, how's that whole disease thing been going for you lately."

Yosannah reaches for a bottle and chuckles lightly, "The disease thing." She sips, eyes lingering on him, "I still do that /disease/ thing. What about you? How's that whole asshole thing going." She smirks, sips again.

Joshua says "You'd be suprised how well it works." He doesn't even touch the beer. "How does that work with guys, scare a lot of dates away? Or are you and Merlin still steaming up Chaos."

Yosannah crosses her arms over her chest, beer dangling from one hand, "No, I'd say Merle doesn't seem to mind. Far as other guys," she shrugs her shoulders, "I dunno. You scared."

Joshua squints, "Yeah, kinda."

She lets her gaze drift across the room, chuckles softly, and offers, "Sure."

Joshua says "Have you ever heard of a place called 'Shadow General'?"

Yosannah nods, slowly, "Yeah. Probably like many, I've spent a night or two there. Why?"

Joshua says "I know a lady that's supposed to be there, she's filled with bullet holes. But I have no idea where it is."

Yosannah lowers her gaze to the table, "Right. Yeah." She wets her lips, "Who's the lady." Her tone is now bland and matter of fact."

Joshua says "Her name is Riva."

Yosannah shakes her head, "Riva, huh. Goddamn figures." She considers for a long moment, "What's she to you."

Joshua quips, "A shooting range target. So, any idea where this hospital is?"

Yosannah shakes her head and chuckles, "I know a shadow that it's supposed to be very near. But you just gave the wrong answer, sir. Try playing again sometime."

Joshua rises and stretches. "I guess it can't be far. If I try hard enough I'm sure I can find her. Hopefully there is a florist nearby."

Yosannah's gaze remains focused on the surface of the table, "You know, Joshua, far be it from me to get in the middle of whatever it is going on between you two." She slides her gaze to him now, "But helping you finish the job..." She shakes her head and shrugs, "That's not my style."

Joshua starts towards the door, "I'll let whoever started the job finish it, Yosannah. Catch you later."

Yosannah slides down in her chair, head resting against the back and gaze going toward the ceiling. She raises her beer bottle to him as he departs in a half-hearted goodbye.

Joshua opens the door and leaves the bar.

Yosannah withdraws a trump from her pockets after Joshua has left and she begins to stare at the image of Riva. After a long moment she sighs, tucks that card away and withdraws another. She staires at the image of Dai...

The image of Dai says "God's palace, God speaking."

To the image of Dai, Yosannah smiles at the sight of him and his greeting. In his mind, she projects, "Dai. Hey. I have a question for you, if you don't mind."

The image of Dai smiles. "Hey Yo. Sure, go ahead."

To the image of Dai, Yosannah furrows her brow and nods, "Have you seen Riva lately? I just heard some news that has peeked my interest."

The image of Dai sighs. "She's in Shad Gen actually. Do you know where it is, or would you like me to take you there to see her?"

To the image of Dai, Yosannah nods, "That confirms why I can't reach her by trump." She nods then, "Yeah. Could you. Take me, that is? I've got a question or two for her. Give me your hand..."

Green ward...

A large green ward, looks happy and friendly. Various plants grow under green lights and soft looking curtains hang to separate the beds as needed. Force fields and holosets, low g and zero g back up the large soft beds. Ward spells block harmful germs from entering and sealed cabinets of equipment are built into the walls.

Netzach says "I can't protect us from storms, love." Netzach lays in a hospital bed beside Riva. It's....cozy.

Yosannah arrives with Dai, "Love? Are we talking about Riva here?" She smiles at the woman as she looks her over.

Riva says "Oh, well, still isolated from usual mess of someplace established. Want the safest place for kids."

Dai turns his head away. "For the love of-do you two mind?!? I don't need to be more scarred than I already am."

Netzach laughs, turning his head to look at Yo and Dai. He's fully dressed, so it shouldn't be too scarring.

Riva looks up, she and Netzach crowed on the same bed, "We're married, bite me. Talk of domestic bliss buigs you, there's a button for a privacy screen somewher e. What do you think I'm going to be doing with four gunshots to my chest?"

Dai shrugs and doesn't look over. "Never know with you," he grumbles.

Riva says "Dai, stop it. This as close to enjoying our honeymoon as we get-so cope."

Yosannah smiles, "Well, I won't keep you long then." She lifts her chin in Riva's direction, "I tried to trump you earlier just to confirm what I heard." She crosses her arms over her chest, "I don't suppose you want me bringing Joshua Spade out this way any time soon."

Riva smiles, "Hello, Yosannah. Suprised you came to visit, good to see you. Have you met my husband, Netzach?" she considers Yo's words, "I don't mind. I don't have anything against him or Dwight. Why do you ask?"

Yosannah offers Netzach a nod and holds out her hand, "Right, sorry. Nice to meet..." She looks at Riva, "I'm sorry, you're husband. Is that right."

Riva gives Netzach a thankful and apologetic look, then glances back to Yosannah, "Yup. If you want to be formal, he's also my second in command. We were planning a wedding but...I drug him off and we got married early." she grins broadly. Spades."

Dai says "Might have something to do with those four bullets you mentioned. If I had known this was the question I could have answered it for you Yo."

Netzach says "I'd have to roll a little to take your hand, and I don't think Riva'd like that. Sorry. Nice to meet you, though.""

Yosannah retracts her hand, slowly and with an understanding shrug. In reponse to Dai's comment she nods, "Who gave you the holes then, Riva. If not the Spades."

Dai turns around and grins. "Saved me the hassle of putting on a tux at least. Ummm, if everyone doesn't mind, I really should go speak with Countess Esme about last night's.....encounter."

Riva says "Dwight did, but it's not personal. I don't expect that to make much sense. As long as the Spades don't come by to threaten me or my family, they're welcome. Especially if they sneak me smokes. I'm a bit curious what your ties to them are?"

Yosannah seems about to reply to Riva but turns to offer Dai a parting smile, "Sure. And thanks, Dai."

Riva smiles warmly at Dai, "Be good."

Dai smiles at Riva and winks. "Always s-er Riva. Take care Zach." He nods to Yo. "As I said, anytime you need my help, let me know." He leaves through the west door.

Yosannah regards Riva, expression rather mute, "Dwight put four holes in you, but it's nothing personal. That requires a little clearification, doesn't it."

Riva says "I was in the way. It's understood if our roles were reversed I would have done the same. I like them, they at least claim to like me. Barring the occasional altercation, we get along fine because we understand each other. I know I should have stayed out of it."

Yosannah fishes a pack of gum out of her jacket pocket, "Who was shooting at who, then, just so I understand the players." She begins to unwrap the silver foil from her Big Red (tm).

Riva says "Dai and Dwight had an antercation, Dwight hand guns out and at Dai, so I drew mine and got in the way. When I didn't step down, I was shot."

Yosannah feeds the gum into her mouth. She chews a bit and then shrugs, "Right." Somehow the story doesn't quite make sense to her as evidenced by her expression and the dubious shrug. "Hey," her hands are raised, defensively, "Far be it from me to say who somebody should have /understandings/ with. I just came here to let you know that Joshua asked me to bring him here. He referred to you as a shooting-range-target." She shrugs again, "So I told him to forget it. That doesn't sound like someone I'd respect or have an understanding with, but who am I."

Netzach frowns at that. He remains quiet though.

Riva says "I've been wrong before. What I did was pretty dumb, and I did aim a gun at him, so he's pissed. He can't hurt me here, if he wants to come I'd like to see him. Better settle things now, in safe setting, than get shot in the back after just healing, eh? Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it."

Yosannah's jaw works as she chews, "Sure. Makes no different to me what you do to one another. But I'd rather not be the catalyst that brought him here if there is bad blood. So, don't sweat it." She thumbs over her shoulder toward the reception area, "I'll leave you two alone." She purses her lips into a smile and says, "And congrats on the marriage."

Riva smiles suddenly, "Yeah, smart policy. Thanks, for everything. Take care."

A final nod is passed to them before she turns to go. Yosannah pauses, however, just before leaving and adds, "Oh, by the way. You didn't hear any of this from me. I have no interest in bad blood either." A light smirk plays on her lips as she says this - as if it amuses her somehow.

Riva nods, "Gotcha."

With that, Yosannah turns to go.
