Amber Trump Deck Logs RL Pictures Main
Gideon Club, Study...Riva taps lightly on the door before peeking her head in.
Yosannah stands, arms crossed, before the large picture windows. The study is quiet save for the subtle drip-drop of water into the sink behind the bar.
Riva says "Yosannah?"
Yosannah turns her head over her shoulder to note the woman. "Riva," she smiles and leans against the wall, "Haven't seen you in weeks. What's going on?"
Riva says "Weeks? Forgot how slow tiem is here." she slips in and shuts the door, "Nothing of interest to anyone else except for one thing which is why I'm here intruding on your peace and quiet. You know a rogueishly charming man named Loki?"
Yosannah's smile becomes crooked, "Indeedy. Why do you ask?"
Riva says "Because he's looking for you. Or maybe he's already found you. I thought I'd give you the heads up."
Yosannah exhales, "We've crossed paths a few times. Mostly in Kryonia. Couple times at the Web." Her shoulders slump, posture failing to evince any obvious concern, "Why do you feel the need to give me a ... heads up?"
Riva waves her hand, "I don't feel you should be concerned. I'd consider it a personal favor if you can help the guy out. I'm not sure what's going on but he's looking for you with the intention to do some groveling. I'm here to make sure you were around and not being exceptionally hard to find or anything. It had occured to me it'd been some time since I'd bothered to come find you, and you could be elsewhere."
A tiny knot forms at Yosannah's brow just above her nose, "Groveling? What for?"
You have nominated Riva for advancement points. Thank you for your input.
Riva says "No clue. There's a limit to what people tell me, and a further limit on what I actually understand. You will find out as soon as he can find you. I would be interested in the result of the conversation myself."
Yosannah seems to consider for a rather lengthy moment. Her jaw works quietly and her gaze goes back out over the landscape of the Club, "I suspect the conversation will revolve around Brandon. Though I doubt Loki knows that yet."
Riva's eyebrows lift, "What makes you say that?
Yosannah inhales deeply then exhales slowly, arms remain firmly fixed across her chest, "I've sensed trace patterns of Brandon's psyche in Loki's mind." She turns now to offer Riva a meek smile, half doubting her own words it woudl seem, "Loki doesn't know this. Or, at least, I haven't told him. I believe he simply thinks some third party is assaulting his mind. He might even think it's me. Scott," she spats, "has been suggesting as much."
Riva says "He came to me. I had his aura shifted and it continued. I-well." she smiles, "I'm aware of what is going on, or at least why a part of Brandon's psyche is imprinted on his mind. It is rather important to me, and I'm sure Loki will ask this opf you as well, that you not share this with anyone. I do mean that in the strickest terms."
Yosannah turns her gaze back out the window, "Naturally, this is important to you. If it were my father..." Her voice trails off. There is silence for a moment followed by another drip-drop from behind the bar before she continues, "There aren't many artists with my skill that I would trust with something like this Riva. Quite frankly, I'm a little remiss to get involved much further myself."
Riva says "Loki is not my father. My father is dead, and certain things will become clear to you if Loki chooses to explain them." her lips purse, "I should have let Loki find you himself. Before I spoke to you, that is."
"You can't change that now," she offers in an effort to quell Riva's doubts. "But to be sure, what I sensed was your father. I have no doubt about that." She tries to explain further, "Have you ever noticed how some folks will sense your trump call and greet you before you even have time to fully develop their image? It was much that way when I... When I spoke with Brandon."
Riva says "I know what you sensed. It is-complex and best that Loki explains it to you. I assure you my father is dead and resting, though. When I first learned of this.." she looks a little sheepish,. "I thought I was going to embaress myself by passing out. You will get an explaination, I am sure. I'm becoming uncomfortable with the number of people who are catching on, but I've always trusted your descretion." She smiles.
Riva's eyes unfocus, "Excuse me a moment."
Yosannah studies Riva for a moment and, recognizing trump activity, nods.
Riva says "Speak of the devil."
Yosannah purses her lips into a subtle frown, eyes avert.
Loki appears, grasping Riva's hand.
Yosannah stands beside a window which gives an expansive view of the front property of the club. She offers Loki a single dip of her chin in greeting and remains quiet for the moment. Her arms are fixed across her chest.
Loki smiles as Riva pulls him through, "Thanks." he looks around.
Riva releases Loki's hand and takes a step back. "I'm told you two already know each other. I told Yosannah you were looking to speak with her."
Yosannah says nothing though she leans against the wall, ankles crossed over one another.
Loki nods, "Yeah I did, thanks." he takes a second to smile to Yo, "But not now I guess, nobody seems to be in a very good mood."
Yosannah offers flatly, "Pish, posh. I'm always in a good mood."
Riva cocks an eyebrow and finds a seat.
Loki does the same, "Well, I have been getting the run as to what has been happening from everyone. Whats been going on in your life Yo?"
Yosannah's gaze follows the pair, "I've been fairly preoccupied as of late. As you already know, Loki. Working with the Princess Lisle."
Loki nods, "That is going well I hope, nobody has gotten hurt in the process I trust."
Yosannah scoffs, "As if. Do I look like a hack?"
Loki considers, "You know I almost thought you would be happy to see me, after our first meeting." he looks for a drink tray.
Yosannah extends a smile. "How's that." Her gaze drifts to Riva, curious. Expression wondering if the Asian woman knows what Lokis is talking about.
Riva quietly gets up and moves behind the bar. She finds a beer and a bottle opener trying to be quiet so as not to interrupt the pair. She gives Yosannah a helpless shrug.
Loki looks very confused by this whole situation, he then turns to Yosannah. "Did you get a chance to read that book I gave you?"
Yosannah raises a brow, "The book /you/ gave me? You, sir, gave me nothing."
Riva sighs and shakes her head. "Loki, why don't you just tell her what you want her to know?"
Yosannah nods, matter of factly, "That usually is the quickest way to get to a point."
Loki sighs, "Well you already know but if you want me to spell it out for you." he shakes his head slightly, "I am the man you know as Brandon, I gave you the book. She knows." he points to Riva, "You knew, so I was under the impression... Anyway, are we all on the same page now?"
Yosannah turns her attention to Riva, methodical, "I thought you were convinced that your father is dead."
Yosannah adds, gesturing to Loki, "That this was not your father. You two should get your story straight." She chuckles.
Riva rests her fists on the bar and leans forward, "No, we are not. You, are not Brandon. Your time-line has gaps and is not linaer to ours. The book you recall giving yosannah could have been months, even years ago. This is between you two but I could smack the beating around the bush strait out of you."
Yosannah watches the exchange between the two with faint amusement and obvious interest.
Loki corrects Riva, "I gave her a book a few weeks ago your time, she was my first attempt to get out of that locked state." he then explains, "I am not Brandon, technically. I do have much of his memories that is true, no my timeline is not linear to yours. During the Logrus walk I was put in this body, for reasons unbeknownst to me. So I am here. Trust me I would rather have stayed one person but that damn swirly thing wouldn't have that." he looks up, "So, here I am. /Now/ are we on the same page? How would you have me refered to Riva? The artist formally known as Brandon, Loki? Or, Ex-Brandon. Or perhaps the second guitarist in the group 'Brandon' that left for a solo gig and failed misserably?"
Yosannah holds her hands up, "Wait, both of you." She asks of Brandon, "Are you suggesting you are some sort of Logrus ghost? Because that makes absolutely no sense. From what I understand, such things exist in their own right. Not in the bodies and minds of others."
Loki turns to Yosannah, "No I am not a Logrus Ghost. During my walk, my form was split in two. As you might have read in that book that I gave you. I, the looser of the fight during the walk, was sent away." he waits to see if this is making any sense.
Riva says "Anyone need anything while I'm back here?"
Loki hmmms, "Red wine, take your pick."
Yosannah shakes her head indicating no. And then, "Yes, I read the book. So, Brandon would have had remnants of Loki in his psyche. And you, Loki, have remnants of Brandon in your psyche. The point of which would be what? Exactly?"
Riva searches around and pours Loki a glass of Merlot. She carries it over to him and flops into her own seat with beer in hand.
Loki shakes his head, "No, originally Myself and Brandon were one person. Two different ideals. Two sides to an idea, you get the point. After the walk there was one side to the idea. The other side was a whole different person."
Riva says "Thus why *he* is not the man I knew as my father even if he some of the same memories."
Yosannah nods at RIva, seemingly in agreement. To Loki, she asks, "Then why is it that you, Loki have some of Brandon's memories, but Brandon had none of yours."
Yosannah adds, "Because there is no doubt in my mind that I sensed some of Brandon's psyche in your mind the other day."
Loki answers, "His timeline didn't change. I was locked inside a body untill a few weeks ago. I don't have his memories, I have /our/ memories." he blinks, "I am that psyche you sensed the other day. I would look exactly the same now too if I could manage to shift."
