Amber Trump Deck Logs RL Pictures Main Yosannah has established contact with Lila...
The image of Lila first looks around the room she is in before speaking, "Yo, you there?"
To the image of Lila, Yosannah furrows her brow. Her green eyes seem rather weary. "Lila," she intones without moving her lips, "How did you get my trump... I..."
The image of Lila grins, "Hon..its me, you know it is okay, and also you know I never tell such facts, all I can say is you need not worry with me having this trump."
To the image of Lila, Yosannah's jaw works once or twice. Clearly she is not pleased with the response. She moves the conversation on, however, "Did you need something then?"
The image of Lila sighs, "Yes I do...what in the name of the pattern are you thinking?"
To the image of Lila, Yosannah says "What do you mean."
The image of Lila says "With your gathering at that school.."
To the image of Lila, Yosannah's gaze narrows on the woman. She mouths now, "If you have a concern, please voice them, Lila. I have work to do and little time left to do it."
The image of Lila says "I am worried about you, and have I feeling your setting yourself up for a whole lot of trouble."
To the image of Lila, Yosannah says "I appreciate the sentiment. But I know what I am doing." She purses her lips together and shakes her head, "I have to go, Lila. If your so worried, however, perhaps you should come to the Academy. You'll understand more if you do.""
You paged Lila with 'You pose, and we'll end here. If we connect tonight... coolio! ::)'.
The image of Lila says "Last time I went there, a ghost tried to kill me..I will only go there if you and I go together first before your gathering, I need to know what is really going on, so much so I swear whatever you tell me or show me stays between us, in another word Stone will be kept in the dark on this one."
To the image of Lila, Yosannah shakes her head, Obviously not willing to broker such an agreement at this point, "We'll talk later, Lila. If there is time. Until then..." The contact begins to fade...
You break off the Trump contact.
Grand Hall - Academy Of Magic...
Dai grunts. "Ya, she is always getting into a world of shit." He takes another drag of his cigarette without taking it from his mouth. "We still have things to discuss you and I."
As the students pile up, along with the public, Dai and Loki are standing near the wall. Loki dosn't look over, more simply just states. "Yep."
Yosannah arrives accompanied by two students of the Academy. They appear to be wrapped in some quiet conversation though the auburn haired woman is distant and disinterested. She casts her gaze about the great hall and seems to be looking for someone.
Dai murmurs quietly with Loki, not sparing at glance at anyone else.
A female student makes some urgent comments to Yosannah and their companion. Yo shakes her head and crosses her arms over her chest.
Dai's eyes go distant.
Sorcha appears grasping Dai's hand, she seems pretty excited about something.
Dai laughs as Sorcha comes through and gives her a hug. "Just be careful. Sorcha, this is my.....friend. His name is Loki. Loki, this is Sorcha. She is like a daughter to me."
Loki nods slowly, deeply aswell to Sorcha. He smiles slightly, but no words.
Sorcha looks up at Loki and waves with her fingers.
Demeter passes through the outer doors, and enters the Grand Hall.
Sorcha smirks up at Dai, "Drawing all I can around the beach...I think the waves are sick of looking at me."
An instructor approaches Yosannah and the two students that converse with her. He is a comely old man, grey hair and short beard. She offers him a meek smile and they greet by shaking hands. They exchange pleasantries.
Sorcha looked at your bodacious bod. Woo Woo!!
Loki falls out of his convorsation with Dai as Sorcha arrives, he is smoking and just looking around.
Zeta continues to stand near the entrance. Her gaze drifts back and forth over the gathering of students and guests.
Matthew steps out of the Dark Doors from the Moon Corridor beyond.
Another group of students arrives from the Moon corridor. They are a young and timid. The large crowd that has gathered in the Greath Hall obviously causing them a moment's pause.
Sorcha watches the crowd gathering, and everthing around it. Her dark eyes drink in any information she can get from her vantage point, which isn't much if an adult crosses in front of her.
Demeter quietly finds her way at Loki's side.
Matthew comes out of the Runed Archway, drawing a sidelong glance from the guard.
Loki smiles to Demeter, "Good to see you."
Demeter gives Loki a faint smirk, and shrugs. "I'm around. You know how to find me."
Dai nods to Demeter as she approaches where Loki, Dai, and Sorcha are standing.
Demeter nods to Dai.
Loki smiles, "I should do that." he nods scanning the crowd, that seems to be growing.
Demeter quirks a brow at Loki, nodding. "How interesting."
Loki nods smiling, "I thought you might say that." he pops his neck.
Yosannah clutches at her right wrist with her left hand. She rubs at the item there absent-mindedly as she replies to the old instructor's quiet comments. Her gaze strays, however and notes Dai now for the first time. She lifts her chin in his direction - a light greeting.
Matthew brushes at the liquid shadows of his robe, causing them to stir and whisper obscenely. He looks around, making his way through the crowd. Oddly enough, his attire parts the waters for him.
Sorcha holds onto Dai's hand, even retreating slightly behind him as the crowd gets larger and larger, "So many people already...what's the big tado?" she asks Dai quietly.
Dai smiles at Yosannah and nods slightly back at her. He looks down at Sorcha and grins. "That is what we are here to find out little one. Perhaps you would like to meet one of the people the big 'tado' is about?"
Demeter half-turns at the fuss, orienting Matthew's way, and gives another of those half smirks.
Sorcha looks up at Dai and nods, "Sure."
Dai nods. "Talk to you later Loki. Demeter." He leads Sorcha through the crowd towards the foot of the stairwell and Yosannah.
Loki nods, "Dai." his voice is deep.
Matthew gives a nod to Demeter, neither smirking nor smiling.
Yosannah notes Dai's approach. She excuses herself from the elderly instructor and the two students and turns to greet Dai. As she does, a sniving student passes by her and mutters, under his breath but a little too loudly, "... crazy witch..."
Demeter excuses herself from Loki and makes her way over to Matthew.
Loki nods to Demeter, and is alone - and not to sad about it. He puffs on his cig and just waits.
Matthew watches Demeter's approach, curiosity burning behind those baby blues.
Demeter's eyes twinkle. She mutters to Matthew, "Blacksmith. I... I've seen... in..."
Dai glares at the student as he passes but doesn't say or do anything to him. He smiles at Yo and grins. "Not very friendly around here are they? Yo, this is Sorcha. Little one, this is my friend Miss Yosannah. She is part of the reason we are all here tonight. And a very accomplished sorceress."
Demeter inclines her head. She mutters to Matthew, "... I... word... so..."
Matthew ahs. He mutters to Demeter, "I meant your... congratulations on the son,..."
Demeter chuckles softly. She mutters to Matthew, "Ah,... that too.... to... of reasons... lately...."
Yosannah feigns a smile for the young girl and crouches. She extends a gentle hand in greeting, "Hello, Sorcha. You are a lovely girl."
Matthew shrugs. He mutters to Demeter, "... a retirement,..."
Demeter quirks a brow. She mutters to Matthew, "... From what..."
Matthew mutters to Demeter, "... Lord.... Many..."
Demeter ahs, nodding. She mutters to Matthew, "... call... up."
Sorcha lowers her head "Thank you Miss Yosannah." she has abit of trouble pronouncing the name correctly but diligently tries. It's a pleasure to meet you." she replies politely taking Yo's hand.
Matthew mutters to Demeter, "... didn't exactly part on... most... terms.... didn't want... with..."
Yosannah's smile fades and she rises. She clasps her fingers together before her, thumb rubbing at the palm of her left hand. "I'm glad you are here, Dai. We'll begin when the Princess arrives." She nods.
Demeter shrugs. She mutters to Matthew, "... I've... my... you,... Do... in..."
Dai nods and smiles. "Certainly. Perhaps you and I can chat soon about a few things as well. But I think you're going to have your hands full here tonight," he adds murmuring as he glances over the students gathered.
Matthew nods. He mutters to Demeter, "Yes,... days.... hear... is... General..."
Aaron steps out of the Dark Doors from the Moon Corridor beyond.
Yosannah nods, agreeable, to Dai.
As if on Cue, a prone and lovely lady enters the Great Hallway after Aaron. She pauses at the entry, flanked on both sides by two armed escorts, and glances about the room. Her gaze finds Yosannah and she moves to greet the woman.
Demeter mutters to Matthew, "Dai,... else. Actually,... curious about some... issues.... might... good... speak to as..."
Matthew mutters to Demeter, "Ah...."
"Excuse me Dai." With that, Yosannah moves to the center of the room to great the Princess of Amber.
Aaron walks down and finds the rest of the people waiting around. He gives a nod to Zeta as he walks that way.
Dai spots Lisle enter and grins. "Talk to you later then." He leads Sorcha to the back of the hall, on the ourskirts of the crowd and just watches.
Demeter smirks softly. She mutters to Matthew, "Nothing... You... there'll... taxes."
Matthew chuckles. He mutters to Demeter, "Taxes..."
Yosannah and the Princess exchange greetings. After a moment's chat, the auburn haired sorceress inclines her head toward the stairwell and, waiting for the Princess and her escorts to follow, moves in that direction.
Demeter notes Lisle's entrances, and murmurs to Matthew. "Later?"
Matthew nods to Demeter, turning his attention to the featured pair.
Sorcha follows Dai to the back, but ends up bobbing up and down trying to see, instead of watching.
Yosannah climbs the steps of the stairwell with the fare haired Princess. Her movements are slow and deliberate. With a deep inhale of breath, her shoulders rise and then fall with a slow exhale. She turns to regard the gathering in the hallway - students, staff and a diverse collection of residents from all of shadow. Without a word she raises a hand in an effort to hush the idle chatter that rings across the room.
Loki does as well, watching the more enthusiastic students move to the front - he lets them move past and fall more to the back, with a view..
Zeta returns Aaron's nod as she catches sight of him through the gathering crowd. She stands near the back of the room, hands tucked into the pockets of her coat.
Yosannah casts a final glance in Lisle's direction. Resolved, she greets, "Welcome." Her voice echoes across the room as the last of the chitchat dies. There is a pregnant pause before she continues, "We are fortunate this evening to have such a turn out. There are, no doubt, some very talented individuals collected here tonight. From all parts of shadow," she adds. Her green eyes fall on Dai, "from the Courts," her attention turns to Demeter, "as well as from Amber. Very fortunate..."
Dai smiles slightly at Yosannah's words and whispers something to Sorcha.
Sorcha nods to Dai in silent reply.
Aaron makes his way to the back as well. He nods to a few of his students too. Then he lights in the back of the room near Zeta.
Yosannah continues, "I am Yosannah." She gestures, casually, in Lisle's direction, "And this. The Princess, Lisle of Amber."
Lisle's head bows at the introduction.
Demeter inclines her head to Yosannah as she looks her way.
Yosannah's attention drifts for the shortest of moments, as if she might be distracted by some quiet inner thought. Then, focus returning, "And, as many of you know, this has been our home away from home for some time now," she indicates the vast expanse of the Great Hall as a thoughtful smile creeps upon her lips, "Much to the headmaster's chagrin, I must admit."
A few random chuckles pass over the crowd, particularly, the student body.
Dai crouches down so Sorcha can climb up onto his back and then rises to full height, his eyes going back to the speaker.
Aaron smirks on this as well. He shakes his head a bit.
Demeter coughs at the headmaster comment. She does have to live with the cranky beast after all.
The smile fades, however, and Yosannah's expression falls weary. She bites habitually at her lower lip. "Many months ago the Princess and I began a collaboration. The goal was to combine our talents for the mutual purpose of fending off our enemies." She looks over the crowd with an implicating stare, jaw working silently. "To fend off those who have taken it upon themselves to declare me and mine a nuisance. Those who would... see our friends..." Yosannah's voice cracks and she is forced to lower her chin and avert her gaze from the crowd, unable to complete her words.
Lisle extends a hand and rests it gently upon Yosannah's shoulder.
Dai's eyes take on a predatory cast and his jaw is clenched tight.
Demeter frowns, quite deeply. Scowling almost.
Aaron looks, indifferent, but does watch the area carfully. Seems he might just be on duty tonight at the school even by those looks.
Yosannah lifts a hand and shakes her head to indicate that she if fine. She swallows and lifts her chin, resolute, "We failed." Her glare is cold and icy. Her tenor voice rings across the hall. "Oh, not in our experiments. No, not at all. In that, we were more successful then we could have dreamed."
"We failed, because our friend is dead. Your proprietor is gone, great Academy." She speaks through clenched teeth, "Ryker. Is dead."
Demeter lets out an audible "Hunh?"
Zeta raises a brow.
Loki, who has kept quiet in all of this, does manage to blink.
There is a murmur from the staff and gasps from the students.
"What does she mean?" a young woman inquires.
Dai's appearance doesn't change at all and his eyes never leave Yosannah.
"Not possible!" urges a professor to a nearby guard.
"What of us?" Demands a man in flowing robes, "What of the school?!"
Aaron looks to make a gesture to a few students who are looking around. In othe words stay seated, and quiet for now.
From among the crowd a voice insists, "She lies. The bearer of plague and disease is a liar!"
Yosannah's chin drops again and a hand goes to her forehead.
Lisle casts her gaze about the room, frown forming on her lovely lips.
Sorcha looks around the crowd, slightly confused before turning up her gaze at Dai.
Matthew folds his hands into the sleeves of his robes, listening quietly.
Yosannah looks to Lisle. The Princess slides two trinkets from her wrist and holds them up for all to see. Two metal bands that twine about brilliant and glowing stones. One a glowing flame of red. The other, shimmering midnight blue.
Demeter exhales softly.
Aaron speaks up. "Students...." He says it again to get their attention. "Things will continue as is, don't fear." He looks around the room to the students, then to Yosannah and Lisle. "I'm sure they are saying what they saw only, and it's not the first time the owner has been in a rough spot. He'll resurface soon enough, and I'm sure the headmaster will speak more to you all if more as things are known on this."
Yosannah gestures at the two items, continuing her litany despite Aaron's reassurances to the student body, "These were to be our gifts to our friends." Her stare is strangely accusing, "For our friends Ryker and Anubis." She holds up a third band that twines about a stone of deep forest green, "And this, for Nash." She clutches her fingers about the item and averts her gaze again, "To protect them."
Demeter blinks a few times, really frowning all of a sudden.
Yosannah swallows, "And so I called you all here. Because I would have it known across all of shadow. That we will find the perpetrator." Her gaze passes over Matthew. And then to Aaron, "And we will not fail again."
Matthew holds Yo's gaze when it passes to him, not flinching nor looking away.
Aaron didn't blink either. Not that he noticed Matthew didn't. He just lightly nods once.
Demeter rubs her temples.
With thoes words, seven men from the front line - or close to it - sprint for Yosannah and Lisle, Focusing on Lisle and her two rings. They all stand about normal height with normal build; seemingly students have turned into an apparent threat, and they are not thinking twice about there motions.
Matthew's eyes darken when he sees the threat, the shadows of his garments suddenly leaping like vicious, dark fires about him.
Dai sighs and mutters something about ignorant fools, his hand reaching for the hilt of his katana.
Loki moves, as he is close to it, the door.
Aaron blinks and starts up with a spell that is very clearly a shielding spell as he moves forward over the area of the student body.
Demeter says "What the hell?"
There is no amount of confusion on the stairwell as the Princess' escorts leap before she and Yosannah in an effort to stave off an attack.
Zeta takes a step forward, her eyes darkening a bit. She gives a quick look around the room as if to see if anything else is out of order.
Demeter slips through the crowd. She's not entirely sure what she's going to do yet, but something.
It takes a little longer than drawing a sword, but there's little time that passes before the Logrus flares before Matthew, its surface one of dark colors writhing in twisted knots that shouldn't exist. He sinks his hands into the sign, working the Tendrils towards a pair of attackers.
Sorcha leaps down off of Dai before even being asked to. She steps back behind him giving him free movement.
Dai dives into the crowd as soon as Sorcha jumps off his back, pushing people out of his way as he rushes to reach the attackers.
Aaron starts chanting and waves his hands over an area of inside where the rushers were at to keep the other students from getting hurt too. Sorcerous magics start working drawing in solid shiny matter as well.
Loki stands in the door, and people trying to get out are stopped with the answer. "None leaves untill the attackers are down, for questioning.." he is a rock there..
Sorcha looks back and forth from the attackers to the defenders. She then starts the motions of spell herself.
The crowd quickly becomes panicked and slows Dai's approach to the stage.
Zeta steps aside from the door and lets whoever wants to pass her get right on by. She continues to watch what's going on.
The group of attackers, having the advantage of surprise, passed easily through the uncertain crowd. The Princess' escorts are quickly engaged.
Four of the seven split up on the escorts, and begin to make sure they do not stand up again, the other three engage lisle taking what they can as quickly as they can. If all works out and they get even one ring they will push her away.
Matthew's inky Logrus tendrils find the neck of one of the three, leaving the other seven to the escorts. A thick rope of Logrus begins to wrap about a neck...
Dai snarls, his eyes shifting to a deep golden colour, as the crowd slows his approach. Smoke begins to pour forth from under his shirt as his rage builds. He presses against the those in front of him trying to force his way through as fast as possible and any who touch him leap away as if singed.
Demeter continues her push towards the grouping, intending on dealing with whoever she manages to get her hands on first. Or whatever.
Aaron's shield goes off. As students hit it, it shimmers, but it's closed off hte front of the seated area from the stage. Only the middle and outside isles are left open as he slit the shield between the two areas. (hopes he posed that there is a middle area to break between)
Sorcha starts building the energy of her spell with soft chanting and a dance of finger in the air.
The Princess is quickly overrun. From her hands, the fiery ring is snatched. She clutches at the second but loses her balance and falls to the steps.
Yosannah is also quickly subdued. She screams as her left arm is slived open by an attacker's knife-blade. Blood pours forth. The emerald stoned trinket goes flying into the crowed and is quickly lost in the Chaos. The opaque white band that she dons in her right wrist is quickly removed and snatched up by one of the thieves.
Loki is overwhelmed by the ammount of people trying to leave, citizens mostly and is shoved out of the way. He hits the floor.
Zeta steps back against the wall and contines to watch. Her eyes flare deep red as a couple people run into her in the comotion. The next few who pass her take quite a wide birth around her.
Well, that does it. The stakes have been upped to something less than polite. Demeter brooks no interference to get at the the nearest thief and introduce them her first first, and the floor second. Or something equally painful.
Matthew wraps a tendril around an attacker's neck, the one who slashed Yo, and tightens to the point that something goes 'Snap' in a sickly way.
Sorcha builds her spell to a peak level and picks her target.
Aaron's spell up, he now realizes that he's in the middle of the student's mass exodus from the area. He tries to shift towards the stage now. His sttention divided it seems.
As soon as he is free of the crowd, Dai draws his katana and races flat out towards the nearest attacker. He dives under the attacker's swing, rolls, and unleashes a backhand stroke at the man's knee, causing him to fall to the ground.
With all this said and done, The first four attackers are fairly bent up. One having already been killed laying at the floor - One flies into the air and falls into the crowed via sorcha, Dai takes the man down at the knee, and he is out of it no matter how you look at it. Not to mention the one introduced to the floor via demeter. The only two who are actually moving are in the back still, one hands the ring off to another who procedes to reach up into an already existing trump connection. The other starts to backpeddle up the stairs.
Demeter pages to everyone in the room: what I'd give to be an archer right now
Matthew's attention gets grabbed by something else and he drops the attacker he had grappled with from afar. Down to one knee, Matthew becomes lost in the press and sway of bodies and reaches for something.
More Academy guards appear from the directon of the Moon Corridor. They begin to push through the chaos in an effor to make it to the stairwell. The are not particularly successful at this point.
Aaron tries to head up towards the stage itself now. He might be making it....hard to tell.
The thief who has the ring reaches into the air and just vanishes, leaving behind a quickly fading flurry of colors.
Demeter keeps her thief floored, and looks about her, trying to make certain all is okay. Presuming there aren't any more immediate concerns, she's checking him out - seeing if there's anything to lend idea to who and what he is nad where from. All that good stuff.
Yosannah's body is covered in her own blood. Upon closer inspection, the bone of her forearm is clearly exposed.
Sorcha suddenly gets caught in the continuing onslaught of the crowd rushing by as some change directions in the confusion. She shreiks as she's knocked to the ground and vanishes beneath the mass of bodies.
Loki moves to where Sorcha was, ignoring his spot at the door and attempting to keep her from being trampled.
Dai cannot hear anything over the commotion as he rises. He rushes up the stairs towards the attackers who are left, bounding past Lisle and Yosannah, leaving someone else to tend to them. His katana begins to turn white from the heat transferring through his body into it.
Zeta scans the crowd, attentive mostly to those she knows. She begins to try and make her way toward Sorcha when she looses sight of the child. It might be her determined look, the glow in her eyes or the heat that emanates from her body, but people really don't bother standing in her way.
Matthew stands back up. He turns back towards the stairs, trying to catch sight of the Princess and Yosannah.
The last attacker stops backpeddling and moves into Dai now, but as fast as he has changed directions he is gone. A flash of red burns like flashpaper up from his feet and then through his hair. Another flash and he materializes at the door, running through it and out the door into the city.
Sorcha is tucked into a tiny ball, head to her chest and knees pulled up, her arms wrapped to keep herself tight. Looks like she's trying to protect her face and chest from the pummeling kicks and steps. Almost resembles a living soccer ball under the waves of people above her.
Scott arrives in his usual manner, accompained by both thunder and lightning.
Matthew blinks. He murmurs to himself. There's a mild look of confusion on his face...
Loki reaches Sorcha and rolls down to pick her up - he is strong and lifts her up over the kicking and cradles her moving his back to the crowd to protect her from any arm trampling.
Aaron starts up the steps towards Yo and Lisle.
As if in response to Matthew's mutterings, the ground begins to tremble...
Lisle is laying on the ground, maybe unconscious, maybe not, her hand a white fist.
Yosannah's gaze finds Lisle's as the stairs beneath them begin to rumble and creak.
Scott looks around as he murmurs to himsef. "What the fuck is going on around here?"
Demeter kicks her guy, and goes to join Aaron. Whatever's going on, she, and they, might want to be out of here.
Dai snarls as the man disappears and he turns to head back down the stairs, towards Lisle and Yosannah. As the stairs begin to rumble and creak, he loses his balance and falls down the stairs, sliding towards the pair.
The attacker that lingers underneath Demeter's foot squirms as the ground begins to quake
Aaron says when he gets close enough to Yosannah and Lisle. "You two should have known better."
Lisle's eyes open finally. It's a terrible look she has, a terrible Eric look with thunderous brows. M.A.D. She finally tries to rise, palms pressed to the floor.
"Let's get out of here!" Comes a scream from an instructor.
*** hears a voice echo in his/her head, "... we must flee..."'.
Aaron nods. "Tell me, hit hte lounge. "Grab the princess. and get..I'll get Yo.." He says this to Deme and then rocks back with the steps. "Deme...Move it! Reality has a nasty way of settling nerves doens't it.
Matthew's robes hiss obscenely, sepulcher voices rising in a wail like a night wind in a storm. He starts edging towards the door.
Loki still holds Sorcha, and starts for the door himself.
Sorcha reaches out to hang onto Loki, resembling a hug of sorts, other then this she does nothing that would hinder his movements anymore then she already does.
Zeta reaches Loki and Sorha, her hands ignited in flames, the gloves having burned from her flesh. She peers sternly as anyone who comes near to the child, "Are you alright, dear?"
Demeter displays absolutely no propriety or grace grabbing Lisle. However, with the possibility of the roof coming down, thats a small matter. "Where?" she shouts to Aaron as she's doing this.
Yosannah gladly accepts the offered help. She is weary and disoriented as evidenced by the strain in her eyes.
Scott begins looking around, trying to make sense in all the Chaos. "Demeter! Are you here!?" He yells out towards the crowd.
Loki yells out at Scott, "The stairs!" as he moves with Sorcha to the door.
Sorcha nods to Zeta over Loki's shoulder, but she does appear to have taken abit of beating.
Aaron says "Moon to Lounge..." He says. "We walk from there..." He yells back as he easily heaves Yo up unceramoniously into his arms. "Go...it's going down..!""
The rumbling becomes so intense it is difficult to stand. Above, segments of stone begin to fall to the floor.$r"CRASH!!"
Screams fill the room and some are trampled by those who would flee over them.
Matthew dives out the door, disappearing into the streets outside.
Demeter fireman holds Lisle - provided there aren't any complaints - and does her best to follow Aaron's instructions. One hand can easily be freed to draw a trump from pocket if necessary, though.
Zeta is gone in a matter of instants, leaving only a fading blur of colors.
Scott looks towards the stairs, and then ducks as the roof begins to crumble. He yells, "NOOO!" He stands with his feet slightly apart, and throws his hands up towards the ceiling, palms facing outwards. Energy begins to dance around his form as he begins an incantation.
Lisle has a trickle of blood down her forehead, but she goes with Demeter, having some sense. Maybe she's a little dizzy because she doesn't complain.
Loki hits the doors and puts Sorcha outside, "Double around the corner get safe." he returns to the room and holds his hands up aswell, screaming a chant of somekind.
Sorcha leaves the academy through the doors.
Dai rolls as a stone falls from above towards him. He manages to avoid it for the most part although it strikes him in the shoulder and pins him to the stairs. He writhes in pain but doesn't scream.
Zeta passes through the outer doors, and enters the Grand Hall.
Scott begins to channel power from the Nexus Chamber itself, calling forth the Elemental forces of Air and Earth.
Matthew flickers for a time and vanishes.
Zeta steps just inside the door, eyes beginning to swirl darkly, red and black as the shadows toil about her.
A large piece of roof falls very close to Loki, distracting him - he then jumps out of the way of the next larger piece - jumping out the door.
Yosannah drags herself after Lisle and Demeter.
Demeter carries Lisle off like a bad romance novel.
Aaron isn't a step or two behind Deme...pushing them on.
Scott shows no sign of leaving. He continues to stand there chanting.
Yosannah is dragged off by Aaron.
Dai grits his teeth and struggles to free himself from being pinned under the stone but it is useless. He's a sitting duck for any other stones that are falling in the area.
The shadows seem drawn toward Zeta as she walks slowly toward Scott, her eyes maelstroms of chaos. Black clouded tendrils shot through with red begin to snake slowly up her legs and about her form, a writhe mass forming. As her right hand raises, a large tendril shots toward the ceiling over Scott, a place that looks like it could fall any moment. And it looks like other tendrils are preparing to do the same.
Scott lets the spell drop, considering that it's doing no good. He yells towards Zeta. "Can you hold it long enough so I can get Dai?" He begins to move towards him.
The Great Hall is empty save for Scott, Zeta, Dai and two of the Academy guards. The wounded having been dragged out of the building.
Though the quake has since subsided, the ceiling continues to groan.
Dai continues to struggle against the weight of the stone.
Another tendril streaks toward another apparent weak place in the crumbling ceiling. Blue arcs of electricity spark along Zeta's finger tips and shortly up the tendrils. Deep red veins begin to streak along her temples and her skin fades to an ashen color. She answers simply. "I don't know." Her voice already sounding strained.
Scott dashes over to Dai and picks up the stone that pins him over his head. He tosses it aside and scoops up Dai onto his shoulder. Then he runs back towards Zeta. He attempts to grab her with his free hand as he runs past, making a beeline for the door.
Zeta's concentration wavers long enough to let a bit of the ceiling break free of her tendrils, but getting scooped up by Scott doesn't deture her long. Just because she's moving doesn't mean those tendrils can't remain for another moment, even though the sweat broken out on her brow might indicate she couldn't hold it much longer anyway.
Scott moves fast towards the door, and when he reaches it, he dives, headlong out of it, carrying both Dai and Zeta in each arm.
Elsewhere...
The Recreation Room - Academy Of Magic...
The building shakes all about the group.
Demeter gently sets Lisle down - but only when she's sure this room isn't crumbling either. And then that trickle of blood to tend to.
Lisle is able to stand finally, in the end. She still has the blue wrist ring in her hand, but she doesn't look pleased. "Someone get a trump. We have to get out of here."
Demeter's expression is sour. "I have shitloads of them, pardon hte expression. Where do you want to go?"
Aaron rushes in and takes a deep breath as he tries to keep his balance. "Deme, we don't have time.." He reaches in his pouch. "Two steps ahead of you Princess." He flips for a card. "Hell, this'll work." He holds it out. "Deme....grab hold." He adds as he shifts Yo around so she doens't get hurt more. "To a plain we go."
Lisle says, "Yosannah," her voice rich with feeling, about everything... She successfully gets man/woman handled oer to Aaron, still managing a ramrod straight posture.
Demeter grabs on, not bothering to argue at this point. Though she notes, grabbing a body in that link, "Oakstone is extremely fast, if we want to jump regular healing."
Yosannah's gaze remains fixed on the Princess. The gravity of the situation is obvious in her eyes. She is a tattered and beaten women.
Wide Open Plain...
Aaron fades in with the group and slides the card into a side pocket. "Generic first card..never hurts Deme. Shadow Gen." He then slides the two women off and or down while he's talking. "But..I can heal them faster..than your shadow probably too."
Demeter looks about, making sure she's Lisles human crutch at the moment, "So.. what next?"
Demeter shrugs at AAron. "25 to one I think. You were born before me."
Yosannah maons lightly and clutches at her bone exposed left arm.
Demeter says "And magic works there."
Lisle says, "I'm all right," but she looks very sober indeed, a hand lifting to her temple. She's gone completely white in her sobriety.
Lisle says, "But Yosannah needs attention."
Demeter delicately arches a brow at Lisle. "Begging your pardon, Princess, but I wouldn't want to explain to Alix why I let you go looking like this. She'd kic.. lets just say she might not be impressed."
Lisle says, "It's just a cut, I think," smiling at Demeter at least. Yosannah is in far worse straights. Look at her?"
Aaron nods. "same here, and I mean by shifting... Deme." He looks to Yo, then Lisle working on autopilot right now. "No, but you're right, you're bette rthan she is." He kneels beside you. "Okay, you trust me to fix you all back in order Yo?" He asks and offers to open hands to her.
Yosannah slumps and groans softly. "MMmm."
Lisle looks a bit queezy at the idea of shifting.
Demeter grimaces, "What do you need, Aaron?"
Lisle says, "We can take her to a hospital." And it isn't dislike of Aaron, it is similar to the kind of reaction someone who faints at the sight of blood might have.
Aaron says "I'll take that as a yes." He places his hands on either side of the wound. "Okay, you're going to feel a tingle Yo, that's me in you. You probably know how this works...so I'll walk you through it anyway." He then looks to Deme. "Just a little time, it's quicker, and I can skip the explaining to Mat why I"m not calling him or helping /her/ too."
Demeter winces. "Ooooo.. Larma would kick my butt too. Just how much trouble are you getting me into Aaron?"
Lisle pages to Matthew and Yosannah: yes. Only Matthew there's another +declare coming at the end of the month when I get back that limits some things. Basically its a 'how the ring runs out of gas' declare.
Aaron smiles. "Not as much as if we let Lisle here get seriously hurt...or you either. That prank yo two pulled just almost got two princess fubared in chaosian terrtory." He says this and his eye's go solid silver and completley unfocus. "But..that's for later. Yo...I"m going to look over you completely from the inside out....and heal the opposite. It's going to burn a bit..don't deck me....or worse."
Demeter seems to be making no move to get thee hence to a hospital. Clearly ignoring Lisle's wishes, but.. well, she's like that sometimes.
Demeter says "Prank I pulled?"
Yosannah nods, meekly, at Aaron's direction.
Aaron traces a line along Yosannah's mind. He's a little cool to the touch. "I'm in here too, if you can answer easier this way. Just speak in your head..I'll hear you."
Lisle helpfully faints at the sight of Aaron and Yosannah. A pool of elegant skirts and lovely flaxen blonde hair, unconscious on the floor.
Demeter sighs, bending to tuck Lisle's skirts such that she's not displaying her pearly whites.
Aaron senses "Yosannah's obvious pain, ~It hurts...~"
Aaron didn't even really notice. He's focused elsewhere right now. His body is unmoved at all. There is one slight mumur though to answer Deme. "Them...not you.." ANd it's slower too. Like he's tranced perhaps.
Aaron does start rebuilding the viens in Yosannah's arms and elsewhere too but much much slower elsewhere. He starts with the deepest and uses her own blood to start mending the damage. It's very systematic and smoothly done, but yes..it burns something bad too. He's rebuilding flesh so what would someone expect. A voice echo's. "Jeez, it was a good cut Yo, be glad I was trained well. Seems he knew what he was doing."
It's just a cut at Lisle's temple, but maybe deeper than Lisle wanted to admit. It could probably use a few stitches.
Aaron senses that Yosannah would smile if she could. Unfortunately she is too weak and weary. She mumbles into your mind instead, ~Everything has gotten so crazy...~"
Aaron intones"~ You expected it not to? Yo..I mean really, what did you honestly expect telling the school that. There is a reason there are channels there.~ He pauses. ~Wow...dent in the bone. Impressive.~ There is that light burn, and some blood starts flowing in you again too, but you can feel it mixing as it's colder than your own...until the burn hits..then, it's..good...almost better than good as it's now your own."
"~I expect my message to get back to Ryker's killers. Nothing more. But I'm tired now, Aaron. I can't think anymore tonight~" to Aaron.
Demeter considers the forehead gash. "Could sew it up - but I'd have to find stitching materials. Or, I could try healing it up. Hey - Aaron? Opinion?"
Aaron's making progress on and with Yo. The area of the biggest gash start to remake itself. The body rebuilding in reverse. Not really fast, but enough to where you can see the bit of brightness as it comes into reality again. Maybe it's good that Lisle isn't awake for this."
Aaron mutters. "Heal...for now....will scar if stitched...and will ..re..open if...magiced and no wait..ing before she...leaves."
Demeter settles down for this. Thankfully its small and deep, not long, deep and vital.. or something similar. She concentrates.
Aaron intones "~You won't be for long...physically anyway. Though..you bleed like a stuck pig for such a small cut.~ He teases a bit. ~But....you owe me an explaination in full. That's my price for this.~"
Yosannah's head slumps. It is obvious she has lost consciousness as a result of the ordeal and the loss of blood...
