Amber Trump Deck Logs RL Pictures Main Gideon Club - Study ...
Yosannah catches Sand's gaze and makes her way toward their table. "You two don't mind?" When she asks this, she looks to Damen.
Sand says, "I was just enlisting Damen's help in the search for my daughter. If she still lives."
Yosannah raises a brow at that, "Still lives?"
Sand says, "I thought she was killed, dead, long, long time ago. But there's new evidence."
Yosannah glances between Damen and Sand and slides into a chair at their table.
At your table, Yosannah says "Tell me about it."
At your table, Sand says, "Her name was... is Niamh," which Sand pronounces 'naeve'. "She was a ranger in my group of rangers. Shadow rangers. Tall and fair, and she fell in love with our court poet. He became a ranger too, and they left on an errand. At my bidding. And never returned. Then, just the past few months, a messenger arrived in Corilaine."
At your table, Yosannah cups her hands about her glass. She nods, listening.
At your table, Damen sips his drink, "I presume they just didn't hole up in some shadow in lover's bliss."
At your table, Sand says, "It turned out, their camp had been attacked. That man that I just described to you, Damen, was the man they were watching. He was in a place near Kryonia."
At your table, Sand says, "Anyway, most of the rangers at the encampment were killed. I had feared Niamh among them, but the young messager said there was no such evidence. And further, she'd had a son. Alastor Castle, who is a bard."
At your table, Yosannah says "The plot thickens."
At your table, Sand says, "He's been trying to trace his father's trail, his father, Aenerion, who has died, also long ago, but after this attack on the camp. I have recently found Aenerion's memories in some kind of computer contruct living in a man. A man who comes here. So there are -two- possible leads, and my grandson, Alastor, is full of fire and temper, and no good at investigating."
At your table, Yosannah bites at her lip, thoughtful and pensive, "And why not follow the clues yourself. Why the need for help?"
At your table, Sand says, "For I have lost track of both men. They sometimes come here. And I have been unable, so far, as you have no doubt discerned, to keep them once I find them."
At your table, Damen nods, "I can keep an ear to the ground and check with my resources."
At your table, Yosannah nods, seemingly in agreement with Damen.
Sand reaches into a pocket, revealing a small painted picture.
At your table, Sand shows, "This is what he looks like." It doesn't have the feeling or look of trump.
Yosannah inclines her head so as to get a better look at the image in Sand's picture.
Damen leans foward, regarding a picture Sand is showing him and Yosannah.
At your table, Sand says, "Aye, and if you see Alastor, you should speak to him, he knows more than he's telling me, I fear."
At your table, Sand says, "He's a good boy, though. Just afraid. And you know," she says this to Damen as if she knows him well enough to know that he knows, "what a dangerous place this is. It is no wonder he is afraid."
At your table, Yosannah lets a slight smirk escape her lips as her knowing gaze lingers on her glass.
At your table, Damen nods, "Indeed. Perhaps you could arrange a time for him and I to meet."
At your table, Sand says, "I'll do that. I'll tell him to find you here, Damen. I know you were always very resourceful." She is grave, but then she often seems so these days.
At your table, Yosannah interjects, "This man, the computer construct. Who is he?"
At your table, Sand says, "He's used many names."
At your table, Yosannah lifts the rocks glass to her lips, "Such as?" She takes a long sip.
At your table, Sand says, "He is the host for Aenerion. He apparently put his memories in some computer, that manages to live in a person. And I forget his names, they are very benign, common names."
At your table, Yosannah says "I get that." She nods, "And this host," she smirks at at the word 'host', "Is he using Aenerion's name?"
At your table, Sand says, "No, but he will respond if you call him Aenerion."
At your table, Yosannah exhales, cheeks billowing as she does, "But we won't know him when we see him. If we see him. That makes this rather difficult, doesn't it."
At your table, Sand says, "Exactly why I need some help."
At your table, Yosannah says "In any event, I'll be sure to keep an eye out. How might I contact you if I hear something?"
At your table, Sand says, "I often come here to meet my rangers. You can leave me a message on the board, there, and we'll arrange a time that way."
At your table, Yosannah holds out her hand to the woman, "Fair enough. It was a pleasure to meet you..." She smiles, "Or see you again. I'm not sure if we decided which it was."
At your table, Sand says, "I think we've met," she offers her hand again, "Though a long time ago."
Yosannah stands from the table, hand clasped with Sand's, "I'll be in touch." She offers the Lady a final smile and a sidelong glance for Damen before reaching into her jacket pocket.
Sand doesn't so much smile as look upon Yo with approval.
Gideon Club - Study...
Yosannah and Lila are in a conversation...
Lila nods, "I honestly do not believe in it but as a favor to Stone, he called a favor in, I did a check on this "Watch" and my research was curious to say lightly, strange writing on all the parts of it which was not a language I know of for one, two the watch repairs itself, three this watch teleported before my very eyes after three hours of study.
Yosannah considers this and nods, "You know what? What I am interested in is where the hell he got it in the first place. I mean, if it keeps leaving and returning to him, why isn't it going back to the person he got it from." She shrugs her shoulders, "Just following the obvious thread of questions here."
Lila says "I agree, it was found at some building site.."
Yosannah inquires, "Where, specifically?"
Lila says "Somewhere in this shadow, Nash knows about the location of the building from what Stone told me, but I have not been able to find Nash as of late."
Yosannah seems agreeable on that point, "No. I don't suppose you would have been able to find Nash as of late. He's been preoccupied." She reflects, "Stone didn't know th elocation of the building?"
Lila says "He knows but did not tell me."
Yosannah smiles at that and shakes her head, "Let's ask him." She fishes around in her jacket pocket and retrieves some tarots. She settles on a cand and begins to focus on it.
You stare at the image of Stone...
To the image of Stone, Yosannah says "Greetings."
Lila waits, though she is able to hear Yosannah's end of the conversation.
The image of Stone glances up from his bed. He says, "Is it morning yet?"
To the image of Stone, Yosannah says "Somewhere in shadow it is. Listen, I got a question for you."
The image of Stone says "Ask and ye shall recieve."
To the image of Stone, Yosannah says "That damn watch that you have. The one that you can't get rid of and supposedly tells you the future... Where did you get it."
The image of Stone thinks, "Um. Inside a corpse. At Nash's old place. His corpsatorium he had going on there."
To the image of Stone, Yosannah says "A corpse. Swell. Did he keep the damn thing, the corpse, for his little museum?"
The image of Stone thinks, "I know the bomb squad tore it apart a bit. There was some rash action caused by the ticking. But I think he patched it together."
To the image of Stone, Yosannah nods, "Alright. Thanks. Go back to bed, I'll catch ya later."
The image of Stone nods, "Gotcha. Night."
The Trump contact vanishes.
Yosannah sighs as her focus returns to the room and Lila, "Well, you wont' find the place you're looking for anymore, that's for sure."
Lila sighs, "What is going on?"
Yosannah sighs, "The watch was found inside a corpse." She chuckles at this. "Ticking." She shakes her head as this obviously is amusing to her, "The bomb squad was called in because, obviously, someone thought it was a bomb. Lo' and behold, it was the watch."
Lila shudders, "That was sick."
Yosannah nods, "Yeah, well the short of it is this. Nash's little corpsatorium is no longer IN Banished Sun. Though, Stone thinks Nash took the corpse to his new place. Unfortunately, I don't know where that is, and Stone was off to bed."
"Now why did Stone want this watch?"
Yosannah shrugs, "Don't know that he wanted it. Just think Nash mustah given it to him when they found it." She laughs, "What I wanna know is how the hell it got inside the corpse in the first place." She points at Lila, "There's a curiousity."
Lila smirks, "Yes it is..at least we know the corpse did not have a bad ticker. We need to find Nash."
Yosannah chuckles at that and shakes her head, "Nice pun."
Lila smiles, "I had to... So, should we go on with this discussion or talk about other matters?""
Riva taps on the door and steps inside, hesitant.
Yosannah responds to Lila, "Actually, I need to get some rest..." She turns to note Riva, "Oh, Hey, Riva."
Lila follows Yosannah's gaze and seems surprised to see Riva, "Hello."
Riva says "Hey, Yosannah, Miss Lila. Sorry to bug you twice in one day, but there's actually some things I need help with. We can talk more of it later, but I need to find an ID on a John Doe that came from the police station, and that requires sifting through paperwork. I was hoping your clout locally might give you clearance to get files I can't."
Yosannah furrows a brow at Riva, "A John Doe? Here in the Sun?"
Riva says "Yeah. long story."
Yosannah nods at Riva, "Sure. I'll do what I can."
Riva smiles at Yo. "Great. I'l pop by tomorrow evening with some stuff that'll help us narrow the search." she nods again and moves to slip out. "For now, I have to try to find a local who knows magic. No rest for the wicked."
Lila nods then shakes her head muttering under her breath,
Yosannah offers, "Try Damen. He's around again lately. Closest thing we have to a Banished Sun Mage Guru."
Riva glances at Lila, frowning. She nods and flashes a smile to Yosannah. "Thanks. Sleep well." she slips out the door and shuts it behind herself.
Lila says "I believe then we are done for now.."
Yosannah yawns light and nods at Lila, "Yeah, I gotta get going. Let's catch upin the next day or so. If I see Nash, I'll let him know you're curious about our little corpse problem."
Lila says "Take care and sleep well."
