For those of you unfamiliar with the terms "yaoi" and "shounen ai," this page has been created.
1) Shounen ai: This phrase literally translates as "young man love," but it has come to denote (on the internet) a fic involving a romantic relationship between two male anime characters.
2)Yaoi: I couldn't find
this word in my Japanese dictionary, but it denotes explicit sexual
content involving two male anime characters. Or, as some more
creative person said,
"Two Y-chromosome anime characters doing the horizontal
tango."
For future reference:
The female counterpart of shounen ai is shoujo ai.
The female counterpart of yaoi is yuri.
