Subject: Re: webserver bihind my ISA server
Hello,
I think the problem is, your ISA server is blocking the ports used
by the
no-ip service. As you have no fixed IP adres there must be a program
publishing your dynamic IP to the DSN-Server of NO-IP. Those programs
uses
mostly TCP ports to communicate and those can be blocked. I'd search
on
there site or send them a mail what ports are used.

hi all,
I have a problem with my ISA server configuration. Its just for my
LAN at
home, so I don't want to pay for a static IP number or a domain name.
I have
a permanent adsl/cable connection with the internet. Before I installed
ISA
server, I first tried to get all my clients to connect the internet
via NAT.
This was no problem at all, so my RRAS server was installed correctly.
Then I testes the most important thing. I wanted to host a website
on my
IIS server in combination with a free service on the internet called
"NO-IP".
This was a nice feature, because I don't have a static IP number. My
ISP
(Tiscali) works with dynamic IP addresses. I claimed a DNS name by
www.no-ip.com. The name was www.hanniballecter.servehttp.com. This
worked
perfectly.
Now here is the problem. I also wanted to implement ISA server for
caching
and firewall. I have 1 advanced 2000 server with ISA on it. This server
has
2 NIC's. 1 attached to my adsl-modem. The other NIC with a private
address
of 10.0.0.1, which is connected to a hub. I have 3 clients on this
HUB and
another advanced 2000 server. This is the one that hosts my website
with
IIS. I installed ISA enterprise edition and every port is open now,
until i
have fixed my problem. I installed firewall client on the 3 clients
and the
webserver. These 4 machines have internet connection and I am having
no
problems with this part.
BUT WHAT MUST I DO NOW, SO THAT PEOPLE CAN GO TO MY WEBSITE FROM
OUTSIDE????!!!??
I don't know if I have to install a DNS server in my Workgroup.
Hopefully somebody can help me with this one.
ta-ta,
H.

Try running winmsd \\computername from a command line. This should
give
you the info you need.

Hi everyone
Ive got this remote user, I need to identify her video card to install
the
driver. The problem is its flashing up too quickly to read on boot.
Does any one know any tricks to do this as Im reluctant to ask the
users to
open the box to pull out the card.
Cheers
