This is from the Microsoft Website:
NT Service Packs:
Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6a System Requirements:
- 60 MB storage space on a X86 system. The service pack for alpha
systems
is available at
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/SP6/allSP6.asp
(If you wish to have an uninstall directory,
the storage space requirement increases to 120 MB for both X86 and
Alpha.)
How to determine if you need regular encryption (40 bit) or high encryption
(128 bit):
To determine if 128-bit encryption is installed
1) Double-click My Computer.
2) On the View menu, click Folder Options.
3) On the View tab, select Show all files, and then click OK.
4) Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders. In
Named,
type Rsaenh.dll.
5) Select the hard disk to search, and then click Find Now.
6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional hard disks you want to check.
If the file exists in the system folder in your Windows NT folder,
then you
have 128-bit encryption support installed. If the file does not exist,
you
have standard encryption.
Install the Service Pack that corresponds with your system.

I know this is a little off topic but could some one tell me which
Service
Pack 6a I should install 40bit or 128bit? I am confused and want to
be able
to restore my system servers if a problem arises. All machine are using
IE
5.5 40bit. Are there any good reading suggestions that anyone could
offer
that explain what the levels of encryption mean.

Do your own labs, study, practice in real life, BUY A BOOK or study

and that is better than any practice exam anyone will give you EVER.
The
best resource is you and how you apply yourself to learn dont cheat
yourself. Otherwise you'll find there isnt a practice question on a
basic
task and your mcse qualification wont be able to answer it. I know

Is that the way you study for an MCSE ?
I see far fewer posts about study books.
What is the profile of the people doing the MCSEs ?
Opportunists who wish to get in IT to earn big money?
School graduates who see it as a first qualification ?
People who allready work in the field but want to learn more ?
I have downloaded quite a few braindumps etc, but i will use them
AFTER i'll go through the main study books.
Are there people who just go through troytec etc stuff and then have
their exams ? Do they pass ?
If yes, there must be an awful lot of people out there, 'qualified',
who have no clue and they cant deal with real life situations.
I'll be attending a training school and use some books as well.
Thats's all,
I'll be very sorry if what i suspect(all the above) are actually true.

Jamie,
Relax already. There are a number of viable NT 4 electives that aren't
expiring this month. Normally, I'd say to select electives that are
in line
with your current profession or professional goals. Also, realize that
many
of the electives will also count as W2K electives which will be handy
if
you're planning to upgrade your cert.

I believe that it finally is a personal choice. You cant go wrong with
any
of them. Most people agree that it's wise not to stick to one set of

ip 192.168.3.1 and 3.2 , domain www.abc.com points to 3.1 , and I want
www.abc.com/new/ with the /new/ to point to 3.2
Question, I have set up virtual directory to pointing to that ip address
(3.2), BUT is there anyway that IIS is able to stealth the ip address
I.e.
instead of going from www.abc.com/new/index.html to
http://192.168.3.2/index.html , I want it to go www.abc.com/new/index.html
and stay with abc.com/new/
add info both ip's are on the same box, but because of logging I want
them
on different ip's, also so in the future I can change the ip but the
url
stays the same.
I know some isp's/domain companies do it, like mydomain.com
Any advice would be appreciated
