I read a Microsoft web page several months ago saying that certain
MCSE
exams were being discounted in cost because of being phased out. For
example, Exchange Server was one of them.
I am going to write Exchange Server 5.5 (70-081) on Monday as the final
exam
in my MCSE, but the official testing centre still wants $100 US (approx
150
CDN). They say they can only give a discount with an "official Microsoft"

Does anyone know if discounts are being offered, and how to apply them?

I'm getting ready to assemble a PC to work on during my home MCSE study.
I would like to have my computer dual boot NT workstation and Win98.
I
wanted to get a little help with how to set the drive up and where
to
install the O/S. Which should I install first 98 or NT??
Also, I would
want to do the same on the machine I load NT server on also (for network
gaming of course :-D ). Any advice would be helpful...
I believe I read
somewhere that 98 should be installed on like a D partition with NT
on C.
Is this correct? And like I asked before in which order should
they be
installed?? Then would I simply need to boot into NT or 98 to
create
additional partitions that each (I mean 98 can see 98, NT -> NT) can
use?

Subject: The impossible MCSE 2000 track and Microsoft's attitude
I read in the Microsoft web site that the new Win2000 exams will be
difficult and relay on 'hand on experience'. I guess that only a small
presenting of the companies we work in will immigrate to win2000 in
the near
future (expensive, needless and win2000 not tested in the real world).
So is
this the way Microsoft will 'encourage' us to upgrade our networks.
I know I won't.
Maybe they should keep the NT 4.0 track for a little longer and give
us a
chance to get this hand on experience for a couple of years.
Microsoft is on the verge of a new trial (in the supreme court), the
trial
is about being a bully, is that what it is doing all over again now

I have a a Microsoft Domain network, with the PDC server (NT Server
4.0) and
the workstations (Windows 95). All the clients are printing to a HP
2000C
printer and have the same problem: when a document is printing, it
doesn't
continue printing, but when restarts to continue printing, it begins
at page
1, not at the last printed page. For example, the document has 60 pages, the
printing process stops at page 40, and when restart, reprint all the
document, not from page 40 to end page.
All the clients have the latest printer driver for Windows 95 installed
locally. The NT Server has their last version installed on. Both NT
and 95
driver version is 2.3. It happens with normal documents and transparences
too. Apparently this hardware is supported by 95 and NT according to
Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List.
I've obtained a temporal solution activating the "optime quality" on
printer
properties, but then documents are printed slowly, and taht's not the
solution.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advanced.

Score Report Format to Change
Microsoft has been introducing innovative, complex exam item types
in recent
years, including item types that allow partial credit for responses
that are
partially correct. To reflect these and other complex item types more
fairly
and accurately to candidates, Microsoft is changing the format of exam
score
reports. Candidates will continue to receive the passing score and
their own
score. Beginning in June, candidates will no longer receive feedback
on each
exam section - information that does not meaningfully reflect complex
item
types. Microsoft certification exams are designed to validate a candidate's
ability to perform a specific job function or set of tasks in the real

I've
