Another reason MS is trying to phase out the NT 4.0 server is the licensing
issue on the internet servers...
Currently you don't need client licenses for NT 4.0 server acting as
an
Internet server, for Windows 2K you need to license for all of the
client
connections to your server- result = more $ for MS and the web entrepeneur
is out some CASH!!
It is all about the $$ at MS people- just get certified and collect

And if there is something in the agreement that says you can only install

if I

I have read the agreement and I'd be willing to bet that a good lawyer
could
figure a way around the agreement and it would be perfectly legal.

I think once my current MCSE expires my Sun Admin cert will be replacing

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Windows 2000 track and exam
70-240. Microsoft has made significant changes to the MCSE
certification to retain its validity and value - the highest priority
of
the MCP program. Some changes also protect exam security and integrity
by discouraging memorization of exam items and minimizing item exposure.
Candidates are allowed to take the accelerated exam one time only,
which
protects exam security and integrity. The accelerated exam should be
considered a convenient alternative to taking the four core exams rather
than a shortcut to achieving certification. Candidates who don't pass
the accelerated exam may take the Windows 2000 core exams in their
live
versions instead.
As a benefit to MCPs, Microsoft is offering exam 70-240 free to eligible
candidates. Eligible candidates (only individuals who have passed all
three Windows NT 4.0 exams, as explained above) will be offered a
voucher good only on exam 70-240 through December 31, 2001. Information
on how to obtain a voucher will be released in June. Exam 70-240 will
be
available in summer 2000 after the four non-design core Windows 2000
exams have been released.
We have taken your comments into consideration for future exam creation.
We also appreciate the time you have taken in expressing your opinions.
Lastly, we consider the issues regarding exam 70-240 closed and will
no
longer respond to any feedback in regards to this issue.
