What to say? Life is in a nice steady routine now. School is under control (I'm so glad about that!), piano lessons are going well, I'm tutoring my prodigy piano student in French now too, Wednesdays are my massage night (SO AMAZING! $10 Canadian gets you a two hour foot and full body massage!), and that's about it. My friend Tony had a party at his place on Friday, that was fun! Chinese people were taking their pictures with me all night. Oddly enough, I'm getting used to having a camera in my face all the time when I'm with a group of Chinese. Foreigners are so exciting for them, it's a bit of a status symbol to have foreigner friends. So they love taking pictures with foreigners as proof they spent time together. Oh, I almost forgot, something exciting did happen this week! We had a Thanksgiving/Holiday party with all the Western teachers from school. If you can believe it I was on the planning committee (What? Me on a committee? Shocking!). And we put together a bit of program and everything and it was pretty cool. We had the kids of the Western teachers sing two songs (they were so cute!) and then some of the staff sang two songs. It was quite fun. I'll put up some pictures on my pictures page. What else...I'm running out of ideas of what to write about. I've found that when you're happy, it's very hard to rant. I'm doing some work on my apartment right now. I got these great mirrors from IKEA to put in my living room, and last weekend I asked the maintance guy at our apartments to come and hang them, because they require an electric drill and I don't have any tools. So he came and drilled holes (12 to be exact) in my wall for an hour and the proceeded to tell me that he didn't know how to hang the mirrors and I would have to ask someone else to do it. Now I have 12 useless holes in my wall (he was eyeballing it, not measuring!) and so I'm in the process of patching and then getting someone with a measuring tape to come and help me hang the mirrors ourselves. But hey, it's China right?
