My tips: The main boss.
To start off, this will be your first truly challenging boss battle. This monster has a huge amount of HP (for this stage of the game, anyway) and has large Vitality and Spirit.
You may have noticed Siren is a GF. Draw her first. Any bosses you encounter that have GFs, make sure you draw them first.
Next, draw a large amount of Double. This will allow you to use the same magic attack twice in one attack. Use a method I call Draw-Cast, which involves immediately casting a magic rather than stocking it. Draw-Casting attack magic may only cause it to do a fraction of its damage.
Okay, enough babbling, on to how to beat Mr. Elvoret.
Draw-Cast Double on one character to allow them to use Cure on the other two characters when their health gets low. You could take advantage of their low health to use their Limit Breaks, but only if you're brave or have one character with the Item command and Phoenix Downs.
Have the low health character activate their Limit Break, then have another character use Cure on them.
If you want to, use GFs on this big boy, but experienced players can usually get through most of the early boss battles without using GFs.
He has no weaknesses to exploit like Ifrit did, so only relentless attacking will get you through.
Watch out for his special ability 'Storm Breath', which attacks all your party and causes a fair amount of damage. Get curing after he uses it. Luckily, nobody gets blown away by it like Biggs and Wedge were.
Eventually, he'll fall and you'll be victorious!
