About Spiders...
At the past, spiders were not so popular in Hong Kong.
It is because they were rare and their teeth release toxic (especially
Haplopelma and Poecilotheria). But nowadays spider become as pets of people.
Some people thought that spider is a dangerous insect and they are not
easily to acquire them because they release toxic from the parts of body.
But anyway, they do not always bite people.
Spiders only hurt people when they thought they have dangerous.
Therefore, be aware the attitude and act carefully and gently.Spider has eight legs and eight eyes. But the sights are very weak. Therefore the way to find food is to vomit some silk. This way can keep the food not so easily fall onto the ground.
The
Food they eat
They
usually eat cricket, grasshopper and mice.
But you should aware
the size of the foods. If
they are too larger, the spider will
be afraid.
Before you keep them, you have to prepare a pet vat to let the spider to live, a forceps to put away litter they made, a cup of
water, a thermometer, some mud and pebble (only some kind of spider need).
You should always change the kinds of food and usually keep the temperature around 24℃~27℃. And some important things are 1.Don’t put two or more spider in the vat. Don’t touch them immediately. They will release toxic, and their hair at their back that made you uncomfortable. The last thing you should wariness is the humidity relative of the vat must at the suitable level.
