“How do you know when a lawyer is lying?”
Stabler’s words rang repeatedly through Olivia’s mind as she tried to get control of her emotions. She had let this go, she had moved on. Now that Alex was here she felt as if she was being pulled back to an early time when they all had worked together in harmony. Before the incompetent ADA’s and the aching hole in her chest from when the blonde had left, then returned, then left again. How many times had Alex left her now? For her to return without a word then leave again would break her for good this time. Why hadn’t she just called? Was it so awful to be a part of her life?Olivia stopped pacing outside the ADA’s office door as tears spilled down her cheeks leaving wet streaks behind.
“How do you know when a lawyer is lying?”
“I have no idea.” Olivia whispered to no one as she turned on heel, walking way from answers she wasn’t sure she even wanted.
