Lesson Seven

In this lesson we learn about Fonts and how they effect our pages.
Most computers are set to a default font the owner has selected.
Unless we select a specific font in our html coding the viewer's default font
will appear on every page . So ..How do we Fix this?

The first way is by selecting a font family that is widely used in the windows and mac systems. Naming the font choice and an alternative, that compliments your page. These fonts are called Web Fonts

The second is we can offer the font used on your page to the viewer as a download. You can see a page I set up showing this preference[HERE].

The Third is to make a graphic of your font choice and display it on your page as part of your over all design.. As shown [HERE} (how ever this is not the best way to do it because the file size of your text graphics can be large and it makes for a much longer download time on your page.)

Lesson Requirements

1. Design a page using a graphic image and text for your title.
making sure your font is complimentary to your graphic.
2. Design a page with text using the font, that you offer at the bottom
of the page for download.
3. Design a page using your text as an image.
4. Add this work to your Portfolio.
