El encausto es una técnica que parte de calentar copal con aguarrás puro y una ves que se extrae la resina, se mezcla esta con cera de abeja. Una vez que se aplica el color, se sopletea para fijar o "esmaltar" el cuadro

The encaustic is a technique in which "Copal" is heated   with turpentine, and once the resin is extracted, it’s mixed with bee wax. Once the colour is applied it’s blow torched to fix or enamel the picture.
