Message: Ok, guys, I keep hearing that MultiProxy sometimes reports some proxies as anonymous when they are in fact not. I had a request to send these proxies to me on the front page for months and nobody send me anything. I'm not saying that my software is free of bugs, but you've got to help me find it. If you don't want to e-mail me, post it here.

Message: Hey Mish, did you just wipe out the A4 post that was here a minute ago?
If you did, you did the right thing.
As for the non-anon proxies, truthfully I haven't found any yet. In fact what I see are many proxies recycled over and over in the add'l lists that get posted here. Now many of these proxies aren't perfect, and they will give it up if you're running Java, but I learned my lesson.
You might want to specify 'No listing of real names/addesses/ph#'s', to avoid further flames. After all, that's why we have the mail links.
Like the wise man said, you're "Doin' a fine job" Mish, keep it up!

And why delete all those posts without warning? Didn't you even consider the possibility that there were people who would like to save relevant posts before loosing access to them?
Why are so out of touch with reality?

Message: Sorry to disappoint you guys but Mishkin does not need to post with my mask. I post here with several aliases, each one with hopefully a slightly different take on things. This is a great board, and if you'd lighten up you might be surprised with what Mish might allow. I don't blame him for covering his ass, are you guys gonna setup the "Mishkin Legal Defense Fund" for him?
Besides, if I was covering for him, I wouldn't have even mentioned the old post. How paranoid do you want to be?

Message: I made a "check for anonimity" multiple times over a given proxy addr (consecutivelly), and I noticed that the proxy sometimes sends your ip via CLIENT_IP, and sometimes not.
It's ciclycal, but there are some proxies that NEVER shows your ip at all.
To be sure about a given proxy, you MUST "check for anonimity" 10 times and, if multiproxy every time says it is anonymous, so it is.
Here is some of those proxies that never shows your ip:
dpsnet.detpub.k12.mi.us:8080
207.109.102.254:8080
elpxy01.ce.mediaone.net:8080
210.69.56.3:8080
sanyo.sanyocir.co.jp:8080
cache.nexicom.net:8080
ns0.apecs.co.jp:8080
gip-santiago-cache-1.gip.net:8080

Message: Hi,
I noticed that, too. Some proxys reported as 'Anon' were revealing my IP. The solution was to click 'Options-->General Options' and put a check next to 'Connect back to my computer at port 8081' option.
After you do this, go back to the Main menu and click 'Check all proxies' again. This time, you should get an accurate list. :o)

You so often sent nothing when people had a request,
that people learnt this manner. Joke.
But this forum has problems indeed. For example:
1) Your emersions are too rare ("no time"), it kill any respect.
2) You don't hold archive ("no space"), and many interesting
concrete notices and suggestios are erased from forum,
which hasnt really FAQ and Help ("no time").
Stop here. Good news: now you have more space.
I made page - memory for MP forum.
It contain Archive (not full, but from your thread #1),
selected links, suggestions, threads from forum,
some mentioned programs and special resource: visual suggestions.
One of vis.sug. - about test anonymity, with old thread,
where people try to "help you find", as you wanted above.
Of course, you didn't answer that time, maybe you'll do it now?

you know, 500 threads ago Haggas eulogized you!..
