Interpretation
From the pareto diagram above
cancer is the number one causes of death in Singapore. Death due to cancer is
28% from the total death of 15,820. Ischaemic &
Other Heart Diseases is the next major concern due to the second highest causes
of death (24.2%). Cancer and Ischaemic & Other Heart Diseases have
the greatest cumulative effect on the number of death in Singapore in the year
2002. Septicaemia and Bronchitis, Emphysema &
Asthma are the lowest causes of death with 0.7%.
With the statistic above, people should make more effort to go for regular doctor checks. Therefore if anybody has minor cancer, he or she can be detected early and the illness maybe able to cure. People also should try to keep themselves healthy by exercising regularly and maintain a balanced diet. By doing so we will be able to minimize the risk of getting the 2 major causes of death.
