These are my most prized recipes

I just had to share them with you all!

Sour Cream Banana Cake

with Caramel Frosting

Cream and beat together until thick and fluffy:
1/4 cup butter
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla

Sift together:
2 cups unbleached flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. Soda
3/4 tsp. Salt

Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture

alternately with:
1 cup sour cream

Add:
2 medium-ripe bananas (mashed)
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Stir briefly. Turn into a buttered baking pan,

13 x 9 by 2 inches, and bake for 35 to 40 minutes

in a pre-headed 350 degree oven. Test with a

toothpick inserted into the center if it is cooked.

Toothpick should feel dry to the touch.

Caramel Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cream or evaporated milk

When mixture boils (you will need to stir

constantly), remove from heat and cool. When

mixture is warm to the touch, add:
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until smooth and spread on cake.

 

Lattice Slice

Ingredients:
250g Butter
250g Icing Sugar

250g cream cheese

Gelatine sachet

Arnotts Lattic Biscuits

Method:

Blend all ingredients together and spread over

lattice biscuits and top with another biscuit.

Refrigerate and they’re done!
