Dedicated to my dear friend.

My friend the cat,

Tori my pal,

Left this world to move onto another,

Every morning you would greet me,

Meow, sounding more and more every day like hello,

You used to run up to the car when I came home

hellow meow hellow,

Always happy to see me,

You loved food, every chance you got you were into the

house munching

or checking what was new in your bowl.

We spent alot of time together you and I,

From the days I found you in the trash at Melbourne,

And how you didnt leave my side the entire trip home,

You keep me company and gave me strength,

Through some of the toughest times of my life,

Sitting on my window sill to say goodnight,

Then back again in the morning to wake me up.

That night I found you lying cold in the street,

I have never known such saddness for an animal,

But to me you were more than an animal you were

my friend,

I buried you in a sunny spot under the plum tree,

With a bunch of roses,

You always liked flowers,

You spent so much time sitting in the garden in the sun.

Sometimes you got up to funny things,

Like jumping onto the laundry window sill

with our two dogs nearly catching you so many times,

Sniffing lavender,

Drinking out of the bird bath,

And carrying socks around like they were your babies,

Oh those days were funny,

And those days are gone,

I miss you my pal,

And wish you had not gone.
