whiskey
for the thing in her throat /john w

I swallow deep
before leading
the Our Father /norman

turning his head
jay on the gravestone /john w

moisture from
the opening petal
on your dry tongue /john w

all that’s left
her scent on Chinese silk /norman

a scarecrow
in the minefield
like for what? /norman

crickets siren
before the final cut /john w
