TIME TO LOOK AT THE STARS
- At long last it was all
quiet within, in the darkness of night
- Besought not by ennui,
t'was time to look at the stars
- Lying on my mattress,
gazing at an imaginary yet resounding sight
- Of deep darkness dotted by
pin-burst flickers of lights from beyond Mars.
- Man, woman, why are you
ever so busy, busy?
- Haplessly driven by the
relentless waves of work
- Pause, STOP, rest, think,
reflect and see
- That life is timeless with
us being the stars of God’s handiwork
- The onus is ours to
maintain a balance
- In knowing what is truly
noble and precious
- Lest we lose our hearts,
minds and wills, and swoon in this dance
- Of staying alive,
relevant, truthful, humble and gracious.
- Even as activities and
busyness come a-knocking moment by moment
-
May
a firm grip of "What's life?" by Revelation be our empowerment.
