TIME TO LOOK AT THE STARS

At long last it was all quiet within, in the darkness of night
Besought not by ennui, t'was time to look at the stars
Lying on my mattress, gazing at an imaginary yet resounding sight
Of deep darkness dotted by pin-burst flickers of lights from beyond Mars.
Man, woman, why are you ever so busy, busy?
Haplessly driven by the relentless waves of work
Pause, STOP, rest, think, reflect and see
That life is timeless with us being the stars of God’s handiwork
The onus is ours to maintain a balance
In knowing what is truly noble and precious
Lest we lose our hearts, minds and wills, and swoon in this dance
Of staying alive, relevant, truthful, humble and gracious.
Even as activities and busyness come a-knocking moment by moment
May a firm grip of  "What's life?" by Revelation be our empowerment.
