This CD was made as a result of a BBC television documentary Paddington Green which featured the life of a prostitute, Jackie Macauliffe. She was one of the characters in this area of London. It turned out that she started life as a man, and had herself surgically changed into a woman. She then worked as a prostitute to pay for further cosmetic surgery. Eventually she gave up that life to become a classical pianist, and this CD of popular classical piano music, some adapted to include an orchestral background, is her first.
