Today England coach Luke Dolan, talks of his sides final defeat today against arch rivals - Germany.

"Obviously both myself and the lads are very upset that we were beaten today, it was the manner of the defeat that really upset us. We have played extremely well throughout all of the tournament and to play like this today is very hard to swallow. Up until their goal we were cruising, we took our foot off the pedal and when they scored we found it very hard to up our tempo again. Credit to Germany though they played a typical German game, men behind the ball, hitting us on the break, they are very hard to break down and their workrate is awesome. I can believe that yet again we have been beaten by the Auld enemy in a shootout, thats typical isnt it. In defence of the lads, there were alot of people back home did not expect us to get through the group stages and we did, winning every game that we played, still its hard to go all the way through the stages and lose it at the final hurdle. Well done Germany.
