UPDATE:

Woodmont Center Construction:  Arlington County is renovating some parts of the grounds of the Woodmont Center, including the parking lot.  The County posted a notice to describe the work.   Completion is expected about July 15, 2009.  Weather is being blamed for the delays.  A construction update appears on the last page of the July newsletter.

Concrete Maintenance Program:  Woodmont has just received notice that the Arlington County Department of Environmental Services will conduct a concrete zone maintenance program in the Woodmont neighborhood beginning in April. Routine concrete maintenance of curb and gutter, sidewalk within residential areas is done at no cost to the adjacent property owners.  The curb and gutter, sidewalk repair/replacement work prior to paving will be included as needed based on the yearly paving list.  The criteria to be used for replacement are: (1)  Sidewalk that has settled more than ½ inch; (2)  Settled curb and gutter which does not allow for effective drainage; (3)  Spalled or damaged catch basin tops will be replaced; (4)   Spalled sidewalk, or curb and gutter will be replaced. County policy does not include replacement of the driveway apron.  If any property owner wishes to have their replaced, currently there is a $750 replacement cost for existing single driveway apron in the same location up to 10 feet wide measured at the property line or back of apron.  For more details and contact information see notice, notice-2
