Samedi Octobre 2nd. Une autre jour.

We started out the wrong way from Libourne today on our way to Blaye. Had to go back to le gare and start over. We wanted the road to Fronsac. It rained some, the wind blew, the traffic was heavy and it was uphill most of the day. Having so much fun can hardly stand it.

At Bourg we found a little park overlooking the Garrone river and stopped to have lunch. The sun came out for awhile and it was pleasant. Virginia is still very down and I think if she was confident she could get back to Paris on her own she would leave us.

We continued on to Blaye where we found a nice hotel. All the rooms were named for flowers. The one we had was Peranche, meaning periwinkle. Quite expensive, 420 francs, but close to luxurious. I had the most wonderful soupe de poisson for dinner tonight at the hotel. A clear soup with croutons, a garlic sauce and grated cheese to put in the soup. Hot garlicy and d�licieux. Virginia ate herself poor tonight and she seems to feel better. Phone calls home by Virginia and Judy and then to bed. So comfy!
