Caravan is attacked on the outsides of Vienna and the entire Camp is slaughtered. Katharine is then embraced.

Anthony’s Party of Lilin, Kowen, Katharine and himself find the Campgrounds and give proper burial to the dead that were slayn where they stood.



Feb 21, 1230

Elysium begins with a large absence of invitees; Malto arrives followed by sir Kowen. 

Celestine makes an appearance to ask the members present at the court if interested in joining one of his expeditions, in this case intended to travel to Poland to study the burial of a Gothic König to depart on Monday Feb 23, 1230. 

A Mysterious priest enters requesting to talk to the prince alone, refusing to join the rest of the members at court at the round table. After a short conversation with the Prince he departs but not without saying “God Bless” at the door.

Max departs to get some fresh air, 
(As Max is out of the room Sir Kowen points out that Mortal Expressions seem to linger even after this long in some of our vocabularies.)  

The Prince openly announces that Vampyr Hunters have been called to the city, calling forward anyone with information of their whereabouts. The Prince Insbergh then adds that anyone involved in this assault on the city will suffer equitable repercussions.

Katharine is introduced to the court as Ravnos. The Prince asking for someone to speak for her Anthony responds and is warned by the prince that any of her behavior will have repercussions on Anthony as she is to be treated as his childer.

Michael makes the comment that he was successful in feeding on fish.

Marie points out to the Prince that the Library at the university is lacking in its Philosophy and History Sections.

Max erupts into the room and drops a breast plate with a fist sized hole on the great table, saying that he smelled death many miles away and was drawn to a burial mount marked by a rudimentary cross. Which he dugup to uncover the bodies of those slayn at the campgrounds and with them the breast plate. 

Anthony is appalled at the realization that Max desecrated the grave of those he buried nights before as Lilin and Katharine strongly request the breast plate be removed from their sight and returned to the burial.

Lilin and Katharine retreat to the docks to recover from the shock.

Members of Court leave to attend personal matters to then meet at the site of the slaughter. Where the party remain in an attempt to make sense of the events that occurred two weeks earlier. 

It is concluded that the attackers were most likely a Gangel, Makavian, Ravnos, Setite and One that is described as smelling as old books. On Malto’s arrival the party decides to follow the trails left by the attackers leading north. Reinforcements are requested from the chantry. 

( Esoara, Mendecamina, 4 Gargoyles, 12 Human guards and Four Wolfs called by Max join the party.)

Shortly after passing a narrow portion of the path a dark figure rises from the ground tall and the build of a small bear. The creature addresses Anthony and requests Esoara move away. The Party is lead to an unlit orifice in the earth.
Malto lighting the way the party follows all the way to a chamber furnished with but a Throne Carved out of the stone face where Adolf sits flanked by a tall whiskered man and a large furry man. Those of no relevance to the situation are requested to leave and await outside the cave.

Those emerging declare that the matter of Katharine’s embrace is to be settled in a duel between Katharine’s sire and Barhakim. 

The party then returns to the city and disperses in different directions.
