"What exactly is an alter ego?" I hear you ask. "Or at least your definition?" An alter ego, as defined by my handy office edition of Webster's Dictionary, is:
1. Another aspect of one's personality. 2) A constant companion or intimate friend.
My Alter Egos are both; they are parts of me and apart from me. I often discuss them with friends as if they were their own person and, in a sense, they are.
