Hey, Hey, Hey All!
O.K., well I suppose I best begin with my violin lesson and how that went. I totally forgot to give you the update last week. I had a lot of fun! My instructor isn't cute one bit, but he is a nice guy. He restrung the D & A string that broke when Chris tried tuning it in December. I learned how to hold the bow and how to hold the violin. I think was allowed to play the strings. He was impressed with the amount of flexibility I had in my wrist and he says that my nice long fingers will make playing much easier. Yay!! Along with playing just the straight strings, he has me practicing putting down my index and middle finger on the strings and trying to make the transition smooth and consistant. Supposedly you can play "Mary had a Little Lamb" on each string by using those 2 fingers. He tried to show me how, but I didn't pick it up. So I have been practicing my violin almost everyday for at least 45 minutes. Tomorrow is my next lesson and I can't wait to see where we go next.
In 3 1/2 hours, I will be smoke-free a total of 24 days! Woohoooo!!! My nicotine gum chewing schedule changed on Saturday. I know chew a piece of gum every 6 hours. It's a little tough because my body got used to the old schedule, but I know I can make it through this. I'm excited that this weekend will be my 1 months mark!! This is the longest I've ever gone.
Last weekend, I worked on my writing assignment for the new curriculum for the Sacred Mists. It was a lot of work and I finished it around 9 p.m. on Sunday. I saved it on a disk so that I could submit it when I came to work yesterday. Well I got to work and found out that the disk had a glitch or was damaged somehow, so I lost all of it! :( I didn't even save it on my computer at home. Can ya say DUMB ASS?! The brighter side of this is that now I can redo it. My assignment was regarding Faeries and I wasn't too happy with how it turned out. So now here is my chances to do it the way I want it.
I got my Federal Tax refund, but it's already spent before I cash the check. LOL! No, I didn't go on an insane online shopping spree. Topher found out that if he gets a car by the end of April then he can have the Assistant Manager position at the Michael's in Whittier. So he is trimming the fat from his budget in order to make that dream a reality and I've decided to help. Except for the $15 I own in CA taxes, the rest is going to Topher's car fund. Originally my refund was gonna go to getting my vision checked and getting glasses, because my vision is bad and has been for years. But, Topher getting the Assistant Manager position is more important at the moment. Plus, he promises he'll pay me back anything I lend him. I just want perfect vision, he can keep the rest. LOL!
O.K., I guess that's about it for now. I can't believe February is just about over. Normally February is the slowest month for me. Oh, retrograde update...Saturn is now direct. All we have to do now is wait for Jupiter to follow, which doesn't happen until the beginning of April. So, if you've felt your life has been a little outta whack for the past 3 or 4 months that's why. Saturn and Jupiter have been retrograde. So hang in there! One down, one more to go. If you made it this far, you can make it one more month.
Talk to y'all soon!
